Beautiful Cape Town


For those who may not know, Cape Town is a coastal town situated not quite at the tip of Africa. While we may not be as modern as many of the other so-called First World countries, the beauty and quiet found here more than makes up for the very few amenities we may lack!

Table Mountain, as you see, gets its name from the fact that the mountain looks very much like a table. On cold winter days, a layer of clouds often drapes the mountain, rather like a table cloth covering a table. The mountain is the focal point for many who live here. Whenever I leave the city, I always feel as though I am truely home when I see this mountain!

The Botanical Gardens at Kirstenbosch is a place of beauty and peace. During summer they also host the most amazing sunset concerts. Can you imagine sitting outside in the valley of a mountain,a golden sunset, and beautiful music played by some of the best artists Cape Town has to offer? Well, if you're ever in Cape Town during December and January, be sure to visit this wonderful place.

Not only do we have the mountain, but we've also got the sea! This is just one of the many beaches that can be found around coastal Cape Town.

Beautiful scenes like this are common here in Cape Town. Summer often finds not only tourists making trips around the peninsula, but many of us locals too.
