January 21-24
Laughlin Desert Challenge
More than 150 of the world's top off-road drivers will compete in this tifth annual race through the rough dessert terrain in the Laughlin area. The likes of Ivan the "Iron Man" Stewart, the Herbst Brothers and Team McPhearson attend this annual event, as do thousands of spectators. This date is the first race in the Laughlin SCORE series throughout the Southwest, which culminates with the TECATE BAJA 1000 produced by SCORE international. The Laughli event is filmed for national television distribution. Highlights include the unequaled Laughlin Leap and Pit Crew competition for $25,000 in prize money and two full days of racing.

River Stampede Rodeo
Almost a $200,000 purse is offered to cowboys and cowgirls in this Fifth Annual PRCA Rodeo filmed for ESPN. In vying for the prize money, upwards of 600 participants compete in eight traditional rodeo events. Entertainment, vendor booths and southwestern style fun at the area resorts round out the very popular Laughlin rodeo Days celebration.

Harley River Run
Also called "Rumble On The River," Harley Davidsons as far as the eye can see! Always a sold out event, more than 50,000 bikers enjoy top name entertainment, drill team events, a poker run, displays, competitions and vendors galore in the west's largest ride-in bike rally. Drawings for new motorcycles, trucks. trailers and Harley Davidson items are held for registrants and participants. Community Achievement Awards
The communities of Laughlin, Nevada and Bullhead City, Arizona honor civic leaders who have improved the quality of life along the Colorado River. There are 11 categories including Education, Public Service, Community Service, Humanitarian, Citizen of the year, Tourism and several Chamber of Commerce specific categories. The gala, black tie affair includes a gourmet dinner, silent auction, fine wines and entertainment.
June 4-6
River Days Formula One Racing
The Formula One Racing Outboard Performance Tour brings high-speed racing to the Colorado River just north of the Laughlin Bridge. More than 6,500 racing fans watch lightweight, formula one tunnel boats race across the river on a cushion of air at speeds up to 135 mph. Super stock flatbottom and inflatable power boat races and Jet Ski displays are also featured. The event is filmed for ESPN2.
July 4
Rockets Over the River
A 22 minute, state-of-the-art Zambelli fireworks display launched over the waters of the Colorado River. This eighth annual display is one of the most spectacular in the West. It is choreographed to music on a high fidelity sound system and broadcast on area radio stations. Free to the public with best viewing at the Laughlin Hotels & Casinos.
September 17-18
Laughlin Shoot Out (Bull Riders)
For the third year, this nationally televised competition features 45 of the world's top professional bull riders vying for more than $100,000 in prize money. It draws upwards of 4,000 visitors to the area for the three day shoot out. Show times are tenatively set for 7:30 pm on Friday and Saturday and 11 am on Sunday. Area resorts offer country western entertainment, autograph sessions, dances and barbecues.

United Way Chef's Food Fest
The 11th annual united way chef's food fest features the best cuisine creations from the top chef's along the Colorado river. From soups & salads to main dishes & scrumptious desetrs. Restaurants, resorts and our wine vendors go all out for this annual sold out united way fundraiser. Tickets are $35.00 per person and are available beginning September 1st at the chamber of commerce.

Cool River Nites Classic Car Rally
America's greatest rock & roll party complete with show and shine contests, concerts, cruzin' and 50's style prom dances and tributes. Plans include a very unique Halloween Trick or Treat. More than 1,000 vintage cars and trucks from across the nation will be welcomed to the strip. Many of the hotels & casinos are offering package pricing reminiscent of the 50's.
