Welcome to my poems page. As you may have guessed, my name is Mel. The bulk of the poetry on this site is my own original work, but I've also included some poems that I've stumbled across that I liked. In addition to those poems, I'm starting to include poems written by a few of my friends.
Beware, I think I'd have to give this site a rating of PG-13 or so, for just plain old darkness (but I still love Andrew's poems !), and my potty mouth (only when I'm angry).
All of the poems on this site either really suck, or are really good. You see, I have my poems on here (yes, that's where the sucky part comes in! hehe), and I hand-picked all of the other poems and poets, so I think that they're all rather good. Feel free to send encouragement and praise to them about their great art! (What the heck, send encouragement and praise to ME, too!)

I really hate how it takes something bad to get me writing poetry. I really do. I can't say right now whether I'll be writing more, the way I've been going, I should be. And soon I shall have fresh blood for this site! My friend Matt is going to be giving me some poems to post. So, we will be seeing some major revamping of this site this month.

In order to pass the time in another boring English class, I have once again wisely utilized the time to work on this website. I'm starting to update the alphabetical order page, but it may take a while, considering I have around 180 poems to deal with. There are some repeated links on the page at the moment, so just disregard that. I don't know when I'll be able to even work on it again.

Oh happy day! It's April 29! (If you have no clue what I'm talking about, go download "April 29" by the Rembrandts. Good song.) Well, I've been working on this page for pretty much my whole English class. Shh! I was working on it last night, but a minor power hiccup turned into a complete blackout. Not fun at all. My house was seriously pitch black. I could not see a damned thing. I had to feel the walls to walk around and everything. So, yes, more poems are coming. I posted the ones that I already had made webpages for before the power went out. There are about 3 left. Hopefully I'll be able to get to that soon.

I've overcome my writer's block!!! Sort of... I mean, I can write now, but for some reason, I only write free verse now... and I don't think it's especially good... but that's just me. Ah well, I'm back to my depressing stuff, and that's what's good... I mean, art isn't anything without pain.

After going for a long period without writing poems, I've finally written some! Three in the same week! *"Applause" sign lights up* YAY! Since August, I've been doing a teensy bit of tweaking on the site, but I haven't had much time to do much else than minor tweaking. Anyways, yeah, check out the poems.

Well, the big change has finally occurred. This site is actually ORGANIZED! I'm so proud of myself. (It took forever.) Instead of having all of the links on this page (which was VERY cluttered), I categorized the poems and made separate pages for them. I hope that will make this site more enjoyable.
By the way, this site is STILL under construction. I just have to do a bit of tweaking and remodeling, to get it just perfect. That includes just making sure that everything works right, fixing some images, and adding some stuff.
I guess I don't have anything more to say, so go read the poems!! =)
