Coiming back from the local off-licence, I spotted some people playing their drums and any other musical instruments they had at hand.
Back at the 'Tea & Biscuit' sound system, it was starting to get a little crowded!
Further on, I came across a mini-exhibition
of paintings by Jairo and Nicoela entitled 'My Name Is Jolly', interestingly
placed in what looked like an old storage room. Nicoela told me that
the mini-paintings on the rack were to be used in a forthcoming animation
on childhood innocence
(definitely not in the style
of 'Wallace & Gromit'!). They seemed to generate some varied responses.
Some were impressed with what they saw, others thought they looked like
some "right weird shit" (a description I heard by some local youths from
the council flats nearby).
As Jairo and Nicoela packed up their pics to head off home, I came across some tired revellers getting a bit of reflexology on the furry mat (fake, I hope). The lady with glasses wanted to take a break, and asked me to take over for her, as I mentioned I'd done a little in the past. I had a lovely chat with a woman from Northern Ireland called Donna (she's the lady with the red silk blanket over her - hello if you're reading this) while I rubbed and flexed her feet. She in turn did my feet for me (very thoroughly, I must say) and it was so relaxing that I almost fell asleep at the handlebars cycling home!
