Henry George's Aviary Visit May '99

Henry George's Property is located on the very top of a high hill in the outer suburbs of Brisbane, the Capital City of Queensland, Australia.

We arrived at his residents early in the morning before the heat and humidity started to creep in. Here is a photo of Henry's views outside his aviary >>>>>>

Henry George is one of our finest breeders of Exhibition Budgerigars in Australia. Here Henry speaks to our party about the finer points of show preparation and what we in the hotter parts of the continent are up against. We were all in agreement when he said it takes longer to bring out the best condition in our birds when preparing them for a major show in the hot and humid climate areas of Australia.

A Quality Young Hen

The Birds

Henry's Bird Room has quality birds throughout. Here is a picture of a few of the birds that boast the quality of true exhibition birds

Henry George Won his first National Class trophy in 1982

Henry has every year since, (if he is not judging or not been able to put birds in), won at least one class at an Australian National!

This is a huge achievement! This is his first Trophy that Henry cherishes along with all the others that adorn shelves in his bird room

Breakfast Fit for Champions!

Some of the Training cages that are lining the wall

The working area to train the birds is immense with plenty of Training cages for Henry when he catches up his prospective show team and also for visitors to view them also. Note the height of the cages - eye height so that you are looking right at the bird.

There are dividers that are removed to make the training cages twice the size to house more than one bird

 Quality Lutinos

Quality Young Lutinos

These Birds where very young but they had very good head feather which is a must for this class of bird as it puts the finishing touches to a bird that needs everything going for it to make it stand out because of its color
