Here are a few of my poems. I really need to start putting them all in one place; I had a hard time finding any!
Sunset on the Water
Shimmering, golden, dancing Rays of light beaming here and there Beautiful, calm water Gentle waves lap at my feet, As I sit on the dock in wonder. Colors like scarlet, orange, and gold An awing thing in nature. Shimmering, golden, dancing Pinpoints of light shining No words are good enough To tell about this scene Only your imagination Can truly show this dream.
The Ball Carrier
Feeling on top of the world Head high Hands clutching the rough roundness "Don't bounce it!" she'd say Through the dim hallways Uncertain feet feeling down each unseen stair The scent of rubber filling the nostrils From the two-inch-away sphere Clamped with tiny arms to a tiny chest Suddenly, out it pops and strikes the floor Once, twice, three times The damning hollow echo resounding Like a gavel proclaiming guilt Head now hanging Sweaty palms limply handing over the treasure To be entrusted to another pair of hands Only too eager to take over Trudging back down the dark corridor Up each step, view now unobstructed Then staring at the rigid hands Ticking away those precious moments The screams of laughter from the innocent Floating in the open window to torment Sitting slumped at a miniature desk No longer so mighty
Soar o'er the sea to hear the dark Stormy mists brushing a cheek A faded dawn not remembered Lonely roses missing an old woman

Always There
You're always there Just out of reach You're always there Tempting I would let go if I could Turn away if I could But you're always there Enticing
You're always there Inside my head You're always there Smiling I would stop if I could Forget if I could But you're always there And I'm always there Hoping
Paths
The path I take The choice I make The constant push and pull To do what's right To put up a fight To stand up for what I believe It's easy to choose The road that will lose Unless you look to your heart To find what's true Not easy to do Then stay on that path to the end.
Movie Star
How does one become a movie star? A movie star Someone in a beautiful dress Smile glowing radiantly As she glides acorss the red carpet Arm linked with a handsome man in a tuxedo How does one become a movie star? Just one person Anonymous Never heard of by the people in the big leagues How do they make themselves known? How do they go from a normal person on earth Up to the sky to be a star?
