Chad comes from a family full of musical geniuses. He took piano lessons aswell as learning the drum. He was 8 years old when he attended his first drum lesson.
Jack Irons left the Red Hot Chili Peppers in 1988 which put the peppers in a place where they had to search for a new drummer. They had 30 drummers auditioning but none of them suited the band. After the unsuccessful test for the perfect drummer, Chad came along and got the job, fitting in perfectly. The chili's say he's one of the loudest drummers they ever had!
Chad's musical influences include: P-Funk, Motown, John Bonham, Buddy Rich, The Who, Kiss, Led Zeppelin, Jimi Hendrix.
