HAPPY VETERANS DAY
Slice of Hope
Should we cry for the boys who didn't make it?
Or light a candle on the sabbath morn.
Should we pity those who made it back?
Their bodies crippled and torn.
Should we honor those who kept us free?
Or pray for those never found.
Should we worship the feeling of glory?
And triumph over victories sound?
Don't cry for those who gave their lives.
For they dwell in a peaceful place.
Please don't pity those deformed.
They're still of human race.
Honor those who gave their lives,
In order to keep you free.
And pray for the lost, to be found,
Sound, mental and physically.
Worship whatever you wish,
That's part of our freedoms way.
And triumpt over America.
Here we can speak and write and pray.
