My favorite sport is figure skating. No, I can't figure skate. I like watching the event on TV. And no, this page is not dedicated to football in case you're wondering.

Since the summer Olympic is yet to happen, I can only talk about figure skating. When the Olympic games start, I'll put information about the results, etc.

Speaking of figure skating, we can't talk about ladies' figure skating without talking about Michelle Kwan. She's the latest World Champion, and she plans to go for the Olympic gold.

Kwan As long as she can keep up with the triple-triple, she'll be fine. I honestly think she should go for triple loop triple loop combination, but I guess it's very difficult to learn a new combination jump, esp. with difficult jumps like loop.

Maria Butyrskaya is an excellent skater from Russia. She was the former World Champion, and the oldest World Champion (for Ladies Event). She exudes coolness and sophistication; however, her skating feels cold at times. If she can control her nerve, she'll be a formidable opponent for Kwan and others. Butyrskaya

Irina Slutskaya is another Russian skater. She was so bad last year that the Russian Skating Union told her to quit. However, she made a great comeback, beating Michelle Kwan at the Grand Prix Final. She's a very technical skater, and she does triple-triple very well. Although she was the favorite for the World Championship, she failed to complete her triple-triple's, and Michelle Kwan's performance was flawless, so she took the silver. Slutskaya

Goebel Timothy Goebel is the only person to complete three quadruples successfully at any competition. Although technically, he's superior, his weakness lies in his presentation. His forms and artistry need much work and polishing. If he can show his maturity through his performance, he's going to be phenomenal. Furthermore, I think he's a better skater than Micheal Weiss. Weiss is inconsistent, and I don't think he's got much potential. JMHO.

Plushenko Evgeny Plushenko is an incredible skater. He's the only man to do quadruple-triple-double combination jump and Bielleman spin. He's the reigning European Champion; however, he did not medal at the World because he made dumb mistakes, and his program just fell apart. His rivalry with Yagudin is well-known.

Alexei Yagudin is the reigning World Champion. He lost his European title to Plushenko. When he lost it, he was so mad, he stomped out of the kiss and cry area even before his scores were announced. Yagudin combines technicalities with artistry and knows how to present himself to the judges. Yagudin
