Hey all, it's Rei, and this fic was supposed to be a pointless lemon but then I came up with a plot ^^;;; There's still lemon, though, don't worry.  So anyways, bear with me, I know it's long, but hopefully it'll be worth it. E-mail me your comments at Totchi_Lover@yahoo.com. The quote here means " 'There is somebody I love' you said, and I didn't want to believe your words" and it is from Fuyu Tokyo. Also, I DO realize that Lareine has essentially disbanded, but in my world, they haven't. They are forever the four person band Lareine consisting of Machi, Mayu, Emiru and Kamijo. *sniff*

All I Need Is You

"
'Ai shiteiru hito ga iru' to kimi no kotoba shinjitakunakatta"

** A soft hand caressed the side of his face, the fingers lingering slightly as they glided off the chin. Those full lips breathed words of love silently making his heart flip inside of him. That hand tilted the smaller figure's chin up until the lips met, spreading warmth throughout the entire body. Arms wrapped tightly around each other, holding the bodies together like they would never part again and- **

His eyes fluttered open, finding himself alone in his bed, just like he was every morning. Kamijo... he had been dreaming about him every night now for the past few weeks. Machi shook his head, trying to deny the fact that was becoming ever more present in his mind. He was falling in love with Kamijo. This didn't surprise the drummer that much. After all, the vocalist was much more beautiful than any woman Machi had ever seen, but the worry that his love for the man would go unrequited tore holes in his heart and dreams.
Sighing, the maroon-haired man sat up, pushing the blankets now warm with body heat back onto the bed. He glanced over at the digital clock next to his bed. 9:00. Practice would start soon, bringing another day of gazing longingly at his love. Machi stood up and moved to the bathroom. After all, he had to make himself beautiful so that maybe, by some strange coincidence, Kamijo would take notice of him and make those wonderful dreams become a reality.

They could all sense it. Something was bothering the blonde haired vocalist. His voice faltered as he sung the familiar melodies and he lost the beat numerous times. Finally, they took a break and a breathless Kamijo flopped thankfully onto the over stuffed couch in the studio. (Well, THIS studio has a couch, so there!!)
Machi looked up from his drums at the stressed figure. Nervously, he stood, his heart fluttering as he walked over and sat down next to Kamijo. He placed a friendly hand on his shoulder. "Hey, you all right?"
Kamijo looked up, his now short blonde hair falling over his aqua eyes. Catching Machi's worried gaze, he put out an obviously fake smile. "Yeah," he breathed, as his eyes drifted to the floor.
The drummer let his hand slide of the shoulder of his object of fancy and whispered, "If you need anything, let me know. I'll always be here for you." With that, he stood up, leaving Kamijo no better off.
Kuso, Machi, you can't even make him feel better!! his mind hissed. He felt the formation of tears in his eyes and swiped a hand across them. As the red-haired man trudged off to the bathroom, he caught a glimpse of Mayu taking a seat next to the vocalist.

The rest of the practice went smoother than it had started. Kamijo hit the notes and kept the beat, but Machi could tell that he still wasn't himself. Something was eating at him from the inside, something he wasn't willing to share with him. God, what he would give to have that person come to him with his problems, cry in his arms until kisses made him feel better, but he knew that wouldn't happen. Kamijo's feelings were locked deep within his heart and only he himself held the key.
Someday, Machi swore, someday I will hold that key. Boku dake?
Practice ended and the members were leaving. Mayu and Emiru headed off together, strangely silent, leaving (How trite this is -_-;;;) Machi and Kamijo alone. The silence was deadly. The drummer was too busy trying to subdue his beating heart to notice Kamijo gazing at him thoughtfully. Finally, the vocalist spoke. "Nee, Machi..."
    Machi looked up, hopefully. "Y-yes?"
"Um, I'm kind of stressed, would you like to come get a drink with me to unwind?"
The drummer tried not to grin as big as his heart wanted him too. Covering it up, he laughed, "Sure, I guess you'll need someone to make sure you don't get too drunk, ne!"
Kamijo actually smiled for the first time that day. "Arigatou, Machi."
Machi shivered at the way his name rolled off of Kamijo's tongue. Happily, he accompanied Kamijo to the bar.

"What's stressing ya, Kamijo?" Machi asked, taking a sip of his red wine. Wine was his usual, even though most people got beer or sake at bars. For some reason, he had a strange fetish for the stuff.
Kamijo sighed and swished the beer around in his glass. He usually got wine too, so it was surprising to Machi to see him drink the stronger alcohol. Something must really have been getting to him. Looking down, Kamijo explained, "I just don't know what to do, Machi. I've been feeling so lonely lately. We always sing about romance and love and, frankly, I just don't have any!"
What an ironic topic. "Isn't there anyone you have feelings for?" He almost regretted asking it, for he was afraid to hear the answer.
"Well, that's part of the problem."  The blonde man replied. "I talked to Mayu about it today and asked him for advice."

So THAT'S what he was sitting next to him for! Machi thought. Heh, I was kinda jealous too... "What'd he say?"
There was a slight pause. " 'Just tell her how you feel'."
Her. That word stuck sharply at Machi's heart like knife.
You should have known it, you fool! his mind screamed.  Why'd you think Kamijo liked guys? The drummer stuttered slightly as he spoke. "I-isn't that good advice?"
"No. It's not. You wouldn't understand." He shook his head and downed the rest of the glass of beer, promptly ordering another.
Machi felt terrible. He wanted to help Kamijo so badly but the vocalist wouldn't even tell him what the real problem was. His mind suddenly conjured an image of Kamijo resting his head in Machi's lap, explaining everything to him as the drummer gently stroked his hair. Blushing noticeably at the thought, Machi looked down at his hands.
Hints of a slur in his voice appeared as Kamijo finished his fourth glass of beer. "What're YOU blushing about?"
"Ehh??" Machi stuttered, turning a brighter shade of crimson.
The vocalist smirked, demanding, "Are you thinking hentai thoughts, sukebei?"
"Iya yo, Kamijo! You're drunk!" Machi exclaimed.
"I'm not drunk!!" he defended, reaching over the table and downing Machi's wine too.
The drummer stood up, taking Kamijo by the arm. "Nee, I think you've had enough for one night now. Let's go home, okay? I'll take you home."
With lots of persuading (read as: Machi dragging Kamijo out of the bar), the red-haired man successfully had the singer into the car and buckled in. Starting the engine, Machi pulled the car onto the street. Suddenly, Kamijo groaned and doubled-over, holding his middle. "Itai... itai..." he repeated, cringing.
"You had too much to drink," the drummer told him.
Now what am I going to do? I can't leave him alone like this... remember what happened to hide-san... "Hey, I don't wanna leave you alone like that, you can come over to my place, okay?"
There was no response. Kamijo had passed out.
Machi nearly floored the pedal and got back to his apartment in record time. Moving around to the other side of the car, he hoisted the unconscious man out, carrying him up to his apartment.
