Magic Mountain K9 Training School

MAGIC MOUNTAIN is a dog training school (in Athens, Greece) for dog owners who would like to form a close bond with their dogs through obedience training, civil security, dog showing, agility or other k9 activities. The methods used by the master trainer (S. Matheos) require the owners present at all times during all lessons and to honestly commit to their relationship with their pet. Obedience, handling and agility lessons are offered privately or in groups of five; homework activities must be practiced diligently for courses to be completed (with diploma). Various training methods and equipment are used depending on breed type, age, and capability of dog and owner but every method is based first and foremost on love and respect for the dog. S.Matheos is a certified Master Trainer (W.Va. Canine College) and has a Master's degree in Mammalian Behavior and Husbandry from Princeton University.  BEHAVIOR PROBLEMS: Due to Greece's relatively short history in the dog fancy and the overwhelming sales of poorly bred dogs (from pet stores or uneducated breeders) there is a tremendous amount of dogs in Greece with behavior problems.  Many problematic behaviors can be completely eradicated and even the worst ones can be improved upon, if owners would only take the time to see a specialist.  Some examples of behavior problems: Dog aggression, fear induced aggression, dominance, possessiveness, separation anxiety, shyness, thunderstorm phobia, hyperactivity, territorial marking, over-protection, self mutilation, repetitive behavior.Many behavior problems have physiological reasons behind them (ear infections, allergies, urinary tract infections, hormonal disorders, cancer to name just a few).  Ignoring negative behavior can be detrimental to your dog's health and longevity.
