The balms and salves contain small amounts of essential oils as well as herbs. With more and more people developing allergies, even natural products are not always safe for everyone. So while the products have been tested on many helpful human guinnee pigs, that is no guarantee nobody will ever have an allergic reaction. Testing a product you have never used before by applying a small amount to a sensitive spot is always advisable, and that goes for natural salves as well. Do not use if you experience redness or irritation. If the symptoms do not go away overnight seek the advice of your physician (and please let US know).
After all, even gentle herbs like chamomile can cause an allergic reaction in some people. Know yourself, know your body.
