Saotome-kun and Sayoko are the President and Vice-President of the puppeter club in the college that Godai ended up going to. They feel that Godai had a face that was fit to be a puppeter (which was not a compliment) and talked Godai into joining their club.

Saotome-kun is a very huge and intimidating man, but in real life, he acts like a gentle giant and often plays the puppet role of a little girl. Sayoko, on the otherhand, rarely take any roles, but is responsible for recruiting potential talents as well as overseeing welfare of the club. When she sees potential talent, she would do just about anything to acquire this talent.

Mr & Mrs. Chigusa are Kyoko's obnoxious parents who lives on the outskirts of the city. Because they both have very different views, it leads one to wonder how they ever got married in the first place. Perhaps, the only thing that they can both agree on is that they both want Kyoko to quit her job and leave Ikkoku-kan
Mr. Chigusa is a very quiet man who has a habit of stalking people (especially Kyoko). He feels that Kyoko is still his little girl and doesn't want to marry her off to anyone. Mrs. Chigusa, on the otherhand, is an very obstinate and tempered woman (Ever wondered who Kyoko got her temper from?). She would resort to anything to marry off her daughter, including dirty tricks, set-ups, and ominais. As if Kyoko doesn't have enough problems already, her parents make her life just a little bit more interesting.

Godai Yukari is Godai's high-spirited grandmother who raised him when he was little. Yukari periodically checks up on Godai to make sure his life is going in the right direction. Although she is physically old, she is still very young at heart and enjoys practicipating in outdoor activities, especially with her grandson. She also likes to play cupid for Godai and often joins in with the Looney Gang to drive him crazy.
Sakamoto-kun is Godai's good-for-nothing college friend. Because Godai is so gullible, he enjoys using dirty-tricks or persuasion to leech food and money off of him. Although Godai despises Sakamoto's leeching habits, he often has no choice but to hang out with him, especially when he had noone and nowhere to go to when he gets in trouble. Sakamoto envys Godai for living in Ikkoku-kan with Kyoko but encourages him to try his best to win her heart.

Ichinose tousan and his son Kentaro-kun lives with Mrs. Ichinose in Room 1 of Ikkoku-kan. Ichinose tousan is a good-natured salaryman who works very long hours everyday to help his family and to satisfy his wife's drinking habits. Although he is rarely seen actually living in Ikkoku-kan, when he is there, he often helps out his neighbors, especially Kyoko and Godai.
Kentaro-kun is the little brat of Ikkoku-kan. Although he loves his parents, he despises being hereditarily short and having to put up with his mom's relentless drinking and embarrassing drunk'n dance. He also wishes that his tousan wouldn't work so much and spend more time with him. He considers himself normal among the Looney Gang and has a crush on Kyoko's niece, Ikkuko-chan.

Ikkuko-chan is Kyoko's niece. She lives with her parents and Otonashi ojisan and often visits Ikkoku-kan to see his aunt and Godai. She has a childish crush on Godai and has convinced her parents to have him tutor her. Although Godai has no initimate interest in her, he often relies on Ikkuko-chan to find out more about Kyoko's past.
Otonashi ojisan is owner of Ikkoku-kan and also Kyoko's father. He visits Ikkoku-kan on special occasions to see Kyoko and wants, more-than-anything, for Kyoko to return living a normal life. However, because of Kyoko's stubbornness, he prays that in time, Kyoko will be able to resolve her past and live happily once again.
