Well this message that I received from maureen tucker made me feel kindof stupid... (for some of my mistakes), however i Was thrilled to receive it.
dear mr; i just stumbled across your page and want to thank you for
going to so much trouble----AND to make a few corrections/comments.
first--how come theres no picture of sterling on the page which has
a picture of each and our "functions"
second-waitin for my man. its P.R. (as in Puerto Rican) shoes. Not
beat up shoes
third-nico didnt "go out" with andy!!!!!!!
sweet jane by lou and soul asylum was played on sept 2, 1995 (the day of
sterlings memorial service). the r r hall of fame induction was jan 17,
1996. in other words, it wasnt played by lou and soul "a few weeks
before induction"
fourth-how come theres so much lou stuff? you list loads of lou solo
albums but not one of either johns, nicos or mine. whats the deal?
fifth-in the pictures of vu past and present page--how come (again)
so many pix of lou? is this lou page or a velvet page? not to be
snotty, but----
fifth-how come you dont mention any of my covers of velvet songs?
this isnt a diatribe against lou, its just irritating to see so much
attention paid to his solo doings and not a peep about the rest of us!
anyway--i think you did a very nice job; the page looks real nice and
you have a few things i havent seen on any other pages. like the
pictures; the cover versions.
