HEY!!!!!
We got a show!
January 7th at the Hurricane
with Sufferbus

Yo! Yo! Yo!
What be up y'all knuckleheads?

Just to fill you in on the skinny, we have a new bass player. His name is Brock Ginther and he is one smooth mutha'fukka'!!!! Brock also plays in "Sex-A-Reenos" and used to be in the Homestead Grays and Tenderloin way back when. Now he has given his life, his soul, his tattoo scarred body to the scuzziest band of rock tramps in Kansas City.

So, after our last show on September 3rd at Daveys Uptown, we have taken an extensive break because of our split with Camille which wasn't really a good one and it sucks the way it happened, but it happened. And she hates me, and I can understand why because it was quite embarrassing to not only her, but to all of us.

So anyway, it was back to the drawing board. We got Brock to play with us which came together really fast, but I didn't want to just jump into the same ol' songs with a new member in the band. So I wrote about 18 songs before we actually got together with Brock. The part that sucks is choosing which ones to play and which ones die. We will still be doing a few songs from "Surprise Dead Superstar" and beyond. But I am so excited about the new songs because it is always fun to play new songs! If you even like us a little bit and you like the stuff we have done in the past, I think you will really, really, really, really dig this new shit!

One new song called "Come Down" Jessica says sounds like Boss Hog, but I don't think it does. I mean… it maybe sounds like a kind of song Boss Hog would do, but it doesn't really sound like Boss Hog.

Another song called "Frenchy," which seems to be Brock's favorite, is a fast, punkish kinda rock song with some silly, silly, silly, crazy, slutty words to it, but all around it's a fun, kickin' have a beer and cigarette rock song.

So far I think Dennis likes all the new songs right now, which is very surprising! He usually has to grow into new stuff.

I love them all of course. I'm just blown away by the new stuff. Hopefully these songs will generate a buzz for us and someone will take notice. We are gonna record again real soon to be released this winter.

We will be doing our next show sometime in January 2000 at the Hurricane and Valentine's Day (Feb. 14th) at Davey's Uptown, which will also be our "Dragqueen Birthday Party." Dragqueen will be 3 years old believe it or not.

For you out-of-towners look for us this winter in Minneapolis, Chicago, St. Louis, Oklahoma City, Dallas, Austin.

Can't wait to be playing again!
Hope to see you at the skows!
Bring your sister!

I use to own an acre now I own Jamaica.

If you feel like laughing your ass off…
Go to links and click on my buddy "King Jizzo" and read the stories he has written. It's my favorite site. Jizzy is the singer of on again/off again Los Angeles rock band Love/Hate, and was the singer for LA Guns over the last year. He's a very smart, funny guy! Check it out.

*I promise I'm gonna start updating this site more and more the closer we get to playing shows again, so don't stop checking back in for more information.

*New photos on the way.

*Just for the record: On November 2nd we had 977 visitors on our MP3 site.

Things are crazy and fucked up at the moment!!

I've been moving into a new apartment and trying to get all my bills in line and power turned on and gas turned on and fucking phones on and all that bullshit! I can't find time to practice anymore. We all have shit going on that has to be dealt with. That's why the last few shows have been a little on the shitty side. I never see the rest my band until we walk on stage together, but it'll be back to the norm soon.

ANYWAY!?!?!

New songs are in the works! Tales from the aluminum, songs of betrayal and some more complete nonsense bullshit songs that I write!
"The International Speedway Love Song" is one that's near completion.
Also, beware of Dragqueen's flirting first attempt with a goth-dance type of song titled "Now-A-Days Space in the Big Zero None."

Surprise Dead Superstar

Hope everybody is enjoying the new record. If you haven't got it yet you can pick it up at Streetside Records at 40 somethin' and Broadway, or at any CD Exchange in KC, or come to the shows and buy it from us.
We are being played on "the Lazer" 105.9 in Lawrence, Kansas, and from what I understand they are playing us on "The Rock" 98.9, both on local shows, not regular rotation. But that could change if you feel like calling and requesting to hear us! Tell everyone you know to call!

MINNEAPOLIS

Thank you to all the cool friends we made in Minneapolis, Minnesota, for taking interest and hanging out and talking to us and shit.
Thanks to all the cool bands in Minneapolis. Janis Figure, Sadie Foster, The Manta Rays, and even though we didn't play with them, thanks to Kruddler for coming to both shows, Shane you're the shit! We will be playing with Kruddler at Grand Emporium on the 2nd of August.
Our first night in Minnesota we played at the Uptown with Sadie Foster, which the drummer Joel was in the Fuck Yeahs whom we played with a couple of fucking times. It was cool because Tommy and Bob Stinson's mom works there, but I missed her by five minutes. She had already gone home. The bartender chic that was there was really cool. We had no place to sleep, but our pal Jimmy Creego of God's Favorite Band and TV Fifty fame came to our rescue and took us to his house and got us drunk and stuff.
The next day we were chauffered around by Dave Fern of Janis Figure who we met up with at Billy Bison's (from Janis Figure) restaurant during breakfast. Billy fed us for free.
That night we played at the 7th Street Entry with Janis Figure and The Manta Rays. Again we had no place to sleep. But never fear...Michael Leggs was there! Michael is Mitchell Leggs from Sufferbus twin brother. (Yes, it was a trip!) He drove us back to his house in St. Paul and let us sleep there.

surprise dead superstar
The CD is here and ready to rip yer fuckin' face off!

Come to the shows and buy this long overdue piece of plastic so we can make money and buy a "van" so my life is a little less stressful!

Now that "Surpise Dead Superstar" is wrapped up...
I believe the next plan is to record some of the older stuff (hopefully live) like "Rotary" and "Shake Fatal" for a five song live CD some time this summer.
