Bryan Adams Concert Review. 10/2/97 Melbourne Park 18 'til i die Tour
Man, what a concert, and Bryan summed it up best when he said to the crowd, just before he played 'Can't Stop This Thing We Started' "It's been a few years since we were last out here and we have had a new album since then, so that means one thing, the concert is gonna be longer. Anyone expecting to be home by ten, forget it" The crowd went wild at this proclomation and then proceeded to help Bryan rock the night away, joining in every song. He told stories of his tour so far, gave examples of his Australian accent and even took on heaklers, had one on stage to sing the song he was asking for "Summer of '69", well he got the first verse alright then stalled. The next highlight was Bryan telling a story of Townsville, where, on Australia Day they went into town and found 1 person, asking what was happening the answer was that it was a holiday and that everyone was home getting pissed. Well Bryan had an image of the whole of Australia sitting at home "getting shitfaced" and that the women were the able to chug beers as well as men. One brave female answered the challenge, was taken up on stage and given a beer. What seemed like an hour passed before she stopped and gave the bottle back to Bryan. "There is still quarter of a bottle left" he proclaimed much to the young ladies displeasure. All the new and most old were played in the 2 - 2 and a half show where Bryan had total control of the crowds emotions and with a fine display of showmanship he had some rather big props for "I want to be your Underwear" (Pic will be here later to show what I mean.) Well, this is the prelim review, more to be added later, same with the Alanis review. As well as some pics from the concert. *Mind you I was in the nose bleed-rafter seats...... :( * Back to Main Page
