From the worlds self proclaimed weirdest band comes what I would call one of the weirdest concerts I have seen......Like a 3 song, 35 mintue encore *although it did rock* Billy and the band playing extra long instrumental sessions in the middle of every song... This lost the crowd a bit and they spotted it occassionally, but when Billy gets involved in his music, no one can stop him. The newer songs of the new album, excpet for Ava Adore, which sent the crowd moshing, were all a bit slow for the audience and had them standing still with stunned expressions on their faces wondering what to do. There were of course some of the older tracks that rocked the Melbourne Tennis Centre, such as the Bullet with Butterfly Wings, which, after an awesome 5 minute 3 player percussion intro, had the foundations shaking and me yelling along. Beware, this is not the album version either, but a heavier & much louder *great* which I loved. Security was real tight and I was frisked on the way in, well ya know how pointless it is to frisk a Kender *LOL* Darcy was wearing a see through number that had most males in the mosh pit drooling, and most others wishing they were in the mosh pit... Like in the album cover 20/6/98
Finally, at the gig we had....... BILLY CORGAN - Guitar & Vocals JAMES IHA - Guitar & Vocals ~who went off before the last song, he was a tad drunk, according to Billy~ D'ARCY WDRETZKY - Bass & Vocals and with the Pumpkins were....... Kenny Aronoff - Drums Percussionists - Stephen Hodges and Daniel Morris Pianist - Michael Garson More to come on the concert and making this look better at a better time..... P.S. Ya like the heading font? Download it here.
Til then, head back to the main pit. ![]()
