So ya wanna know what I do at work?!
Well, I was an Audio Visual Control
Room Operator *can I get a longer title please*
full time at the casino for Crown, cause they took
over the contract from Artist Services and kept
me on cause I do such a good job
*ROTFLMAO* Yeah, that's what I said..*grin*
In this position I controlled all the audio & vision
put out over the casino gaming floor and to the bars
and other areas within the casino, except for
tenancies and some shops within the complex. This
means volume changing, monitoring our 5 100 Disc CD
players and changing the audio source, as well as
changing the channels on the three large projection
screens and all the other monitors and televisions
withing the casino...so I was a big remote control
operated by a schedule and people calling the office.
Now to the fun stuff, dubbing finished products
for Cable TV that the company I worked for edits
and sometimes films. We also made the internal
advertising, from the scripiting to the filming
to the sound & lighting, the the final edits and
placing them into our digital computer based video
system to be played throughout the casino. We also
film events within the casino, as no other film
crew is allowed on the gaming floor, and it is because
of this I met all the stars doing filming for the
All Safe Cafe and Planet Hollywood we have there.
I was involved in many shoots in
various ways, but I had about 70 of the
spots (ads) I edited for distribution (playing
in the casino) used. One for Jon Bon Jovi, one
for the film release of LA Confidential, in which
I also got named in the credits of one of the cable
episodes of In Fashion for Fox for working on
the sound for the shoot and also worked with
Samuel L. Jackson & Jerry Lewis, plus recently
Hale and Pace.
All in all that is basically my job, hope this
explains it a bit better for y'all, any questions
can be answered via the e-mail addy on my main
page. Enjoy *grin*
