"Emergency On Planet Earth," Jamiroquai's first major-label effort, was released in 1993. The tracks on this album reflect the disgust that Jamiroquai's frontman Jason Kay felt concerning issues of the environment, social climate, and the shape of things to come. Tracks such as "Revolution 1993," "Emergency On Planet Earth," "When You Gonna Learn," and "Too Young To Die" all deal very directly with the aforementioned issues in the way only JK can deal with them. The underlying message of the songs is delivered clearly and concisely: "We're not going to be much here longer if we continue to let the environment go to waste, and not repair our societal state." Conversely, tracks like "Whatever It Is, I Just Can't Stop," "Blow Your Mind," and "Hooked Up" present a more idealistic and happy side of Jay. These songs can't get funkier, and are cut from a very unique mold of songwriting. How ever Jay and the band did it, they created an album that redefined music for the 1990's and, for the unexposed ear, illustrates what Jamiroquai truly is all about. |

I am looking into obtaining a license to print these lyrics, but until that time, I will have no lyrics for any Jamiroquai albums posted on this site. |
