"You Can't Kill Rock 'n Roll!!!"

"It's Never Gonna Die!"

Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler, Bill Ward, and Ozzy Osbourne. Black Sabbath, 1970.

I've met a lot of people over the internet... people I'll probably never meet. One question I repeatedly hear is, "What kind of music do you like?" In response to that ever-present question, I'm creating this simple page. There are a few bands and/or singers I can truly say that I love; one of these bands is Black Sabbath, pictured above in its original lineup.

I first discovered Ozzy Osbourne when I was in junior high school. My neighbor, who was four years older than me, exposed me to the world of heavy metal. Shortly after that, I picked up a copy of Paranoid (on a 33!), and I was hooked from then on.

I now consider myself to be more than an average fan... I'm a true student of the 'Rock School of Thought.' I've reflected upon my past experiences with the band, and I realize what they mean to me. Whether the vocalist be Ozzy, Dio, Gillan, or Martin, they're still Black Sabbath. Their music has helped me through more than one tough time in my life, and it sickens me to hear of someone harshly criticizing the band or vocalists.

I highly recommend purchasing at least one Sabbath album to add to your collection. In any given Sabbath album, you will find distinctly different influences; hard-core metal, blues, swing, acoustic, electric, heavy, or light, Sabbath has it. If you like songs about drugs, Christianity, Satan, destruction, love, or just about life in general, you can find it in Black Sabbath.

If you're a technical-kind of person, as I am, you may be interested in this. Take a look at some of Sabbath's equipment.
