WHO IS BUSH? - Formed nearly two years ago, the london-based Bush met as painters, the obvious beginnings of musical talent. "I thought, if we could paint and whistle and talk so well together, we might as well start a band," Since then, playing and hanging and playing and playing is what Gavin, guitarist Nigel Pulsford, bassist Dave Parsons and drummer Robin Goodridge do, and do so well. Their debut show was an outdoor car park converted into a fantasy birthday setting for a friend. Hotter, darker shows followed suspicious places to hungry audience.
This was a joke made up by Gavin and has come a long way!

• GAVIN'S CHILDHOOD

-Gavin was mute till the age of 4, his first word was " cookie " Wich is an American word b/c in England they say " biscuit " !!Before that his sister spoke for him useing his gestures and the looks on his face to know or get him what he wanted or to express how he felt !!

-Gavin was raised in an upper middle class family

-When he was 8 he he spent the whole year in and out of the hospital due to chronic ear problems, but was fully recovered by the age of nine !!

-His rents divorced when he was 11 and he went to live w/ he Fahter a doctor !!

-He attended Westminster, a fairly up scale prep school, and dropped out at the age of 17 wanting to explore and larger world !!

- Gavin was a soccer star and almost went pro and nearly made it on the Chelsea tema, one of Englands premier soccer teams !!But do to a minor leg injury and a vauge musical ambition he decided music was clearly what he wanted to do !!

• Nigel 101

-Siblings
  Nigel has to older sisters; he is the youngest. His middle sister, Angela plays the violin in classical orchestras in shows around England. She also directs childrens' orchestras. Nigel's other sister, the eldest Pulsford child, is Janet. Jan is the keyboardist for Cyndi Lauper, also the co-producer of a few of her albums. She has a Tennessee-based production company.

-Parents
  Nigel's mom plays the piano. His dad, Kenneth, was a big influence on Nigel. Ken suffered a heart attack while Bush was recording Sixteen Stone with Alan Winstanley and Clive Langer. Nigel stayed with Mom for two weeks after and then returned to work. This was a tragic time for Nigel. Bush dedicated the album to Nigel's dad. "I hate to think about the first album because it was the most miserable fucking thing that ever happened to me." Nigel said in a magazine interview.

-Marriage
  Nigel married his long time girlfriend, Judith Rose on July 20th, 1996. A little while back they celebrated their first wedding anniversary. Judith is an artist. She was the talented and lucky one to do the custom paint job on Nigel's blue Strat.

-Nigel's hair
  Nigel actually chose to shave his head once he started to lose his hair. He claimed he dyed it a lot when he was younger, which, he feels, contributed to his 'hair loss'. His hair still does grow on the back of his head, but we needn't get into that. He hates shampoo questions, but it's human nature to wonder.

Nigel got married to Judith on July 20th.

The scars on Robin's neck are from hot water burns as a child.
