Cassius Clay, now Muhammad Ali, was one of the greatest boxers the world has ever seen. In June of 1967, Ali was given a 5 year sentence for refusing to enter the U.S. army on the basis of his Islamic beliefs. The Supreme Court overturned the sentence in 1970. Ali was the most notable figure in the anti-war movement to choose prison over fighting.
