Soul Asylum/Matthew Sweet

We had planned to leave early, because it was general admission. We had to wait for someone. When we go there, we walked through the gates and security checked our bags and searched us. Then we went to find some seats. We got 7th row seats. I left to go buy a shirt. I bought a black SA shirt and it had a girl sitting at a desk with a dunce hat on(just like the cover of misery single). We were heading back to our seats when we heard "Sick of Myself", Matthew Sweet had taken to the stage. So we ran back to our seats. People were throwing paper airplanes at the stage. I enjoyed the band. Then the Jayhawks came on. We kind of just sat and watched. Then Victoria Williams came on. We sat and watched too. I looked over to my right and saw Dan Murphy(of SA) watching the set. He was about 10 ft away from me. I tried to get his attention but it was too loud and he was above a speaker. Finally Soul Asylum came out. They played all of or most of Grave Dancers Union except the "Sun Maid". All of Let Your Dim Light Shine. There were three songs I didn't recognize, but when I got the "Misery" single and "Runaway Train" single. I think those songs might have been "You'll Live For Now" and "Fearless Leader". I stood up on my seat to see better. There were spot lights that kept going back and forth shinning on the audience. During one of the songs Dave's(Pirner) fly came down, he turned around and zipped it back up then he said, "I was wondering why my dick was cold". I think it might have during "99 %" He did all these sexy hip movements(you know, the ones he does in the videos). Then Victoria Williams came out and they all played "Summer of Drugs". The concert ended a songs after that song. We went back to the parking lot. It was impossible to try to meet them. It took 45 minutes to get out the parking lot. It was a really great show and I can't wait for them to come back.
