Sweet-Reality
A Brief Introduction.
Well Sweet-Reality formed around late '98 early '99 era, and the original set-up was:
Tim Green: Vocals
Tom ardill: Guitar
James Sandifer: Guitar/Keyboards
Olli Dutton: Bass/vocals
Hanno: Drums
However, this was unfortuantly short-lived as the much loved Hanno had to return to Germany. They managed to only do two performeaces with Hanno at the heart.
Still the band continued, and picked up a new drummer.......Mr Phillip McGough - An expert drummer, and no mistake. Rehersals began immediatly, training Phil up to their old songs, and writting loads of new ones as well. However, reherasals became difficult with the presence of exams, parents and the bassist living in London.
The movement of the band seemed to be on hold for a bit, while the various members got sorted. However, they cam back with a storm, playing an amazing Rugby-Club gig (see pics page). Their talent was indeed recognised, and they are now regularly asked to play gig's.
The band being talented musicians decided to broaded their musicial contribution to the songs. This was much aided by another bass being bought, allowing fo Tim to play bass if Olli wasn't there. This developed into the two sharing the role as bassist. They also shared the role of vocalist, making sure that each song was different in some way. Also the pressence of the other members as vocalists was now a lot stronger.
The setup now looked like this:
Tim Green: Vocals/Bass
Tom ardill: guitar/Keyboard/Vocals
James Sandifer: Guitar/Keyboards/Vocals
Olli Dutton: Bass/vocals
Phillip McGough: Drums/Vocals
With this new setup, and the idea for total musical supremicy, the band stormed ahead.........
So that brings us vaguely up to date. Last month they performed an outstanding gig an Alex's 18th, with their finalé being a cross between Hendrix's "Star Spangled Banner" and Cliff Richards "Millenium Prayer" (with a lot more style I'd like to say).
So what of the future???? Well the band are still strong. They have enough songs under their belt to make two albums. no-ones trying to kill each other and the new songs are better than ever. The next gig? Soon my friends, soon..........
