Ladies and Gentlemen, the Wildhearts..............
Well, in my opinion the Wildhearts are one of the best, and most original Rock groups of the decade. For some reason they never quite sat firmly in one place, and guessing what they were gonna do next always proved entertaining. Every since their formation in August '89 they life & times of the band has been not only interesting and fun, but also sad..
Their music, which was influenced by early groups such as The Ramones, Cheap Trick and the Dogs D'Amour turned out to influence many current rock groups. Their music out-outclassed that of Guns'n'Roses, Nivarna, Def Leopard, while also managing to stay in a different class to bands like Therapy?, Green Day and Offspring. Their lyrics always had emotional content behind them, ranging from "In Like Flynn" (which was about how crap E*** W*** were) to "My Baby Is a Headfuck" (controversy at it's best), to the emotional "Saddened" (which Ginger still doesn't talk about to this day) and on to the best piece of musical writing ever to grace the rock scene, the infamous 12-minute long "Sky babies".
Still, enough praise for the moment, onto the current set-up:
