Cruor first began in the Autumn of 1996 when three bored college headbangers; Atridiel, Xuthus (myself), and Shetait, decided to spread the metal plague through a webpage. At the time, Shetait was the master of html, and Atridiel and I contributed to metal reviews. As the page grew, the High Wizards wanted to expand even further. We added a death metal review section (at the time known as Morbid Tunes, now called The Kill Metal Dungeon), edited by new Wizard Althotas, and Shetait began work on a guitar tablature page, Tales of the Axe. Cruor grew and received both friendly and hostile visitors alike. I heard the band ANGELCORPSE in Spring 1997, and decided to add a webpage for them. Sadly, Shetait departed for his homeland Germany in the Fall, leaving me to carry on with the programming. Atridiel and I worked feverishly at expanding the black and death metal audio segment, Unsilent Storms in the Cruor Abyss. This section contained a variety of both popular and obscure underground metal. Atridiel was also unable to stay in the US as he wished, and subsequently had to return to Germany in August 1998. February of 2000 saw a moderate disaster for Cruor when Geocities deleted many of it's files. The black metal review section, The Black Shrine, as well as half of the audio files, were lost. I continue to rebuild and update however, expressing my boundless exaltation of extreme metal.

And the bios...
I'm a 23 year old college student who plays guitar in the American death metal band Reign of Terror (Texas). Besides jamming and running The Unofficial Angelcorpse Page, I like to drink lots of alcohol and listen to metal. Metal is my true love in life.. Some of my favorite metal bands of the past are Slayer, Bathory, Celtic Frost, Venom and so on. A few new bands that I like include Angelcorpse, Vader, Aeturnus, Krisiun, early Enslaved, Vulpecula, Arckanum, etc, etc..
Atridiel is a lead guitar player formerly of both Obscuratio and Reign of Terror. His musical influences range from Slayer to his favorite band in the world, Dissection. He is currently enrolled at the School of Audio Engineering. When not drawing or listening to metal, Atridiel passes the time by practicing solos or writing for his solo death metal project, Wrath.
Shetait is a sullen 22-year-old guitarist with metal interests as diverse as Mercyful Fate and Darkthrone. His first musical endeavor was in Obscuratio, a black/death/thrash metal band with Atridiel and Xuthus. He currently plays for the raw German black metallers, Darkened Nocturn Slaughtercult. Spikes, weapons, alcohol, and bloodshed are all hallmarks of Slaughtercult, who are set to release their first demo some time in Summer 1999.
