Hi, my name is Adam Granicz, and I am from Hungary, where the most beautiful women, the finest food, and the best mathematicians are in the world. I am a sophomore at Missouri Southern State College (MSSC), a double-major in math and computer-science (how did you guess it?!) , and a minor in Economics. (Who knows, I might minor in Psychology; it is almost the same, right?) Actually, right now I am on an student exchange to Sweden at the Univeristy of Karlstad. If you would like to check out my Swedish pages that I am maintaining here in Sweden, click here.My story is rather interesting.
I lived in Hungary until my senior year in high school, when I had the chance to come to the US to spend an academic year. So I did, and finally graduated from a US high school in Diamond, MO. Not the biggest class in the history of mankind, I can say; there were only 44 people (including me) in my graduating class.
After graduation I enrolled at Missouri Southern State College, where I received the Honors Scholarship, which pays for my tuition and makes my life easy. I normally go home to Hungary in the summers, and for Christmas. I like to visit different places, and I love to drive. You can guess the next step: yes, I bought a car. A Buick Century, not the best but works well enough to get me to whatever place I might have in my mind. It is usually a movie theather, or the Mall. Sometimes, when the weather and my wallet allow me, I go further too. I would like to visit New Mexico, Utah, and some other states at the end of the school year, sometime before I leave for Hungary again. So far I have been to 15 states, mostly on the East. In the spring break of 1997 I went on a quite long trip from Joplin, MO to the Northern tip of Delaware.Well, so much for my Buick... Yes, I had to sell it, because I was coming to Sweden for a year, as you probably already know, so there was no other choice. I thought I would keep the previous paragraph to pay my respect to my old car.
Instead of a car here, I bought a bicycle, or I should say I got it from my host family. If you want to read more about my year in Sweden, why don't you go ahead and visit my Swedish Pages.
