About Me

Here's last year's school picture, my hair is different now, and when I get this year's picture I'll put it up.

Well, I finally did it. I created a page for all of you out there that wanted to know a little about me. My real name
is Belinda Bahr and I'm 18. I'm 5'2" tall, I have layered blond hair that frames my face like a lion's mane, and I have grey/blue
eyes. I live in a small, boring town called Port Hope in Ontario, Canada. Port Hope is 45 minutes east of Toronto for those of
you (probably all of you) who don't know where it is. This town is so small it doesn't have a movie theater and the best places
to hang out are the small, one-street downtown core area, the parks and the beaches.

One thing about me is that I am interested in everything. I always like to learn new things about everything. I love animals,
especially wolves. As for music, I like anything except rap/techno and variants thereof, and old country. Mostly I go to school,
and work (I waitress at the local Chinese restaurant (Dragon Bridge). In my spare time I like to party, hang out with friends,
read, write, and work on the computer. I also like to play sports like soccer, volley ball, badminton and swimming, and I
like to watch hockey. After high school (yes, I have one year left...) I plan to go to university and major in computer
engineering, or in law.

I live with both my parents and I have one older sister, Sonia who moved out (yet again) in November 1996 with her fiance
Todd. My sister and I are very close and we would do almost anything for each other (with certain exceptions of course!).
Oh, and Todd is great too! Todd is a big computer buff and he has been helping me with problems I have with my web pages
and with our home computer.

Another thing: I am an Eclectic Wiccan. This is my own chosen path, not forced upon my by anyone. I believe that the first
thing that moved me in the direction of this path was my loss of belief in Chrisianity. It is common knowledge that most
religions including Christianity derived from Paganism. I then learned about the Crusades. Men going out to teach the new
religion, Christianity, and killing those who don't convert. Doesn't the Bible say "Thou shalt not kill" ? Hipocrites. How could
an omniscient God allow all that killing and violence to continue unchecked when He abhors it and creates a commandment
to halt such behaviour? He never answers the prayers of His followers, and He allows extreme violence, terrorism, and
cruelty to continue without attempting to stop it. With these observations I concluded that the Christian God does not exist at
all. The next step that brought me closer to this path was the research I was doing on witches and witchcraft. The unusual has
always fascinated me and so I wanted to do a speach a speach on witchcraft for school (speaches are a requirement of our
school system). So, I started my research and I found out about Wicca. I finished my speach and continued to research Wicca
and what goes along with it. I bought my first book on Wicca a short time later, called "Encyclopedia of White Magic" by
Paddy Slade and I was on my way. I knew Wicca was for me after that. At the same time my cousin became interested in
Wicca and we did research together and traded spells and even conducted several spells together.

In February 1997, I played a joke on a corps of Sea Cadets in my area (of which I was a part of at the time, I no longer am
due to corrupt officers). It was the custom at this particular corps to play pranks on the junior cadets. Since most of the usual
jokes had been worn out (ex. making ghost noises in the secret passage way), so I suggested that I would conduct a spell in
the building (an old church that was condemned because a priest hung himself in it, which allowed the Sea Cadet Corps
to get it at a bargain!). The spell I conducted was a simple protection spell for the building and the people in it, but I made it
more elaborate by setting up an altar upon which sat a Ouija board, rune cards, herbs, candles and my bowl. It started out
with only me, but the other four senior cadets joined in, in a circle around the altar and chanting. When the junior cadets came
to see what was going on, the spell was in full swing and I just had to drop some herbs into the flame of the candle, which
promptly gave off sparks, frightening the junior cadets even more. Once the spell was finished and the astonished cadets had
dissipated, I had to comfort one cadet who thought that I was an evil witch and that I was going to hurt him. I explained that I
am a good witch and that the spell I preformed was a spell of protection. After a while he quieted down and went to sleep. A
week later a parent who had found out about the conduction of the spell, called the corps complaining about what had
happened. They had said it was 'wrong' and Satanic and that their child shouldn't be subjected to it. Some people are so very
ignorant! When it was brought to my attention however, all I said is that it is my religion, Wicca and not Satanism, and that I
don't complain when I hear a child pray before going to sleep, so what's the difference? Well they weren't too happy about
that but they had to accept my reasoning and they didn't bother me about it again.

That's absolutely everything you need to know about me, and so I leave you for now...
