This page is not about the biography of manson, not music files, not about guitar cords or any thing like that. If you wanted that, you could go to any of the 5 million manson sights and get the same thing. About half of them copied the same pictures, same information and music so whats the point. What I really hate is those sights that connect manson will all that satanism666 - those pages are all created by little twelve year olds who have no idea of what manson is about and are infactuated with the whole manson scene. This page is just to get all the rumors strait and explain why they're not true.

The most stupid rumor is the one about him taking out his ribs so he can suck his own dick. First off, your spinal cord is what makes your back bend not your ribs. The main function of ribs is to protect your body's internal organs. So in other words, if manson really did take out his and he was punched, he would die.

  • RUMOR: They sacrifice, torture and/or have sex with animals onstage. This story probably stems from one now-famous incident at a Texas show in 1995. A caged chicken was brought onstage, the cage was reportedly kicked around a bit, then Mr. Manson loosed the bird into the pit. Several people grabbed it and it lost a few feathers, but it escaped unscathed. There may also be one or two instances of a chicken being put in the band's bass drum onstage. but that's as far as it goes. There are several dozen
    • rumors circulating right now to the effect that Manson has tossed puppies (or kittens, ducks, geese) into the pit and insisted that the show would not go on unless the crowd shredded the animals, but there's no truth to any of these. There is no evidence to suggest that Mr. Manson has sex with animals onstage or anywhere else.

  • RUMOR: They vomit or piss on the audience. I have never seen or heard of any incident of Manson or any band member vomiting onto the crowd. Spitting, sure, lots of it; but never this.

  • RUMOR: They perform 'deviant' sex acts onstage with each other and/or audience members. NOT TRUE. This story probably stems from an incident on the nine inch nails tour involving NiN guitarist Robin Finck. Finck went out on stage during Manson's set wearing an S&M "slave" rig that left his penis exposed. He walked up to the front of the stage where Manson was crouched singing and stood beside him; Manson turned his head, saw the offered item, and took it in his mouth for about five seconds. That's all. It's also been
    • 'reported' in various magazines that Manson has brought male audience members onstage for oral sex, or female members to be outright raped but I can find no eyewitness, or other reliable, reports of this having ever happened. Audience members are not allowed onto Manson's stage for ANY reason. --There have been numerous occasions of brief exposure, and of simulated oral sex (usually between Manson and Twiggy), but the Finck event is the only instance of an actual sexual act I've seen documented, and it's a pretty abbreviated one to boot. I've seen no accounts of any such stuff on the current tour.

  • RUMOR: They include in the show a 'call to Satan' so that members can come forward and commit themselves to the Devil - the way revival meetings include a 'call to Jesus' --or even a complete Black Mass. - nothing even resembling this goes on or ever has. Manson also does NOT read or "preach" from the Satanic Bible during concerts. I'd love to know where this one got started. (how would he have time to have a show and a mass at the same time?)

  • RUMOR:They smoke human excrement. I think someone here heard the phrase "human remains" (meaning bones) and took the wrong meaning somehow. The Mansons do claim to have smoked bones; I have never seen it claimed anywhere that they'd done the same with ordure.

  • RUMOR: They promote date rape. The verse in question is of course "Redneck burnout Midwest mind, who said date rape isn't kind?" - clearly, I would've thought, saying that it's only the described characters with their burned-out minds who consider date rape to be OK. Too subtle for some, I suppose. (On the other hand, we must remember that it's commonplace in moralistic rock criticism to consider any mention of a topic in a band's lyrics as the band's positive endorsement of that topic. Hence, for example, the frequent accusation that Manson's lyrics promote child abuse, though Manson has said approximately two million times that the songs in question are his way of dealing with his own childhood abuse. (also just to let you know, his eyes are different colors in these pictures not because he does drugs, but because he has different color contacts)

    • My thoughts on Manson: If manson didn't dress the way he did, if he didn't say what he says, what would he be? He would be nothing. The truth is, I think he is one big wanna be freak. He just is the way he is because it gives him popularity. Whether people like his music or not, they know who he is because of what he has done and the rumors that have gone on about him. Hell, even my grandmother has heard of manson, but she hasn't heard of pearl jam or the beatles or any other group.

    People like people that are different; people like people that hate; people like people that are stupid? i dunno. Even though manson is a fraud, he's smart in cheating people out of their money.
