Boy Bands - 98°
The summer of '97 sure got hotter, by 98° to be exact! Only a couple years ago Justin Jeffre, Jeff Timmons, Nick Lachey and Drew Lachey were just four cute boys who could harmonize. They had joined forces in Los Angelas, and the week after they became 98°, they sang the National Anthem at a Dodgers game!
They kept on plugging away, working in the studio on their songs and earning the rent by way of jobs in landscaping and delivering Chinese food! "We kept struggling and we believed it would happen," Jeff admits. When they made their way to a backstage party at a Boyz II Men concert, they were spotted by a manager and the door to Motown Records opened wide. Their first single, "Invisible Man", had brought 98° to the top of the charts and into full view of everyone who loves smooth R&B!
