98° Is Golden

We know you love 98°. We know you love listening to their song, "Invisible Man" over and over again. But did you know that there are many others like you? How do we know? Because "Invisible Man" has gone gold! (That means sold half a million copies!) Such a momentous occasion could not go without recognition, so to celebrate 98°'s success, Motown Records and Wolvering Boots threw the foursome an invitation-only bash at Spy Bay, located in New York City's superchic SoHo neighborhood.

What Was It Like?
Spy Bar looks like a cozy gothic castle, velvet curtains, tapestry covered couches and some faux 14th Century paintings and it made all the guests feel trasported to another time. But the gold colored balloons reminded everyone that they were indeed in the 20th Century and here to celebrate a golden event! There were many platters of yummy hors d'oeuvres to keep the crowds content while they waited for the guests of honor to make an appearance.

98° Has Arrived!
Finally, 98° made their grand entrance. They walked down a huge wrought iron staircase while a crowd of proud faces looked on. Justin Jeffre, Jef Timmons, Drew Lachey and Nick Lachey were presented with a golden cake and collectively made a wish (though they didn't really need to since their dreams are coming true!) and blew out the candles. Then the guests were shown a new video for "Invisible Man." This one takes place at a party where there is a lot of dancing going on, as opposed to their other video which took place in a warehouse in the rain. The new brightly colored video is not to be missed, so keep your eyes peeled for it!

Special Treat!
As a special treat, 98° sang "Invisible Man" a capella style. And if there was any doubt that these guys could belt out a tune, they proved that their voices are a force to be reckoned with! They generously thanked everyone for their support and received their guests one by one to thank them personally. Who can resist such sweetness and talent?
