Bobbie Jean, who has been there for the past 11 years, shared the same mountains, the same snowfalls, the same long endless phone calls when each of our lives seemed to be going into a termnal spin cycle. You are my best friend and I hope you know how grateful I am for the 2 years both you and Mike put your lives on hold while Mike and I tore each other's live apart. I love ya girlie!
Rob, Doug, & Joe.....ya ok, the 18 months I lived with you guys was very interesting. But ya know, I would not ever trade it for anything! Never! I don't care what anyone says, I learned alot about being there for someone and having fun and being myself. Doug, I know I said it in my goodbye email when I left Seattle, but I want you to know how proud I am of everything that you have accomplished and how far you have come, and you are truly a father any little girl would be lucky to have for a Dad...Serena is a very lucky young lady! Rob, what are the rest of them going to do when you and Karen get married and you move out? Have you taken a moment to think about the hole you are going to leave? Who else will let them listen to Art Bell at all hours of the night and day, go on about the end of the world in just a few more months, and torment everyone with gray socks? Ya know I'm just kidding and I love ya! Congratulations and best of luck to you and Karen. Joe and Batman....Joe, I will miss our talks about dating and falling in love and watching you get ready to go clubbing. That was truly an experience I won't soon forget. Batman...don't do that things with your eyes anymore, they might stick like that forever and then won't you look funny. No really, Keep the boys in line for me, and keep terrorizing the ski slopes!
Mark, well doll, what can I say about someone who is creative enough to send me flowers (and my gosh they still stand out as the nicest flowers I have ever gotten) for St. Patricks day....I know they were meant for Valentines day, but heck, no one ever sends flower on St.Pattys day.....You have become such a close friend and gee, someone who is going to help me take The Dust Bunnies, with thier single, "Under Your Bed" all the way to the top of the Billboard charts....Thanks for always listening to me go on and on and on and on and on..and let me spill Orange soda all over your kitchen table, and for showing me my favorite place in the whole world for the very first time, Cape Elizabeth. You've been a friend that many people would be envious of. And you never bail when I fail to keep in touch or do your crack on me about my group emails....I'm really lucky to have you in my life.
Pete...I don't even know where to begin this. So rarly does someone come into your life, and offer total and complete acceptance and friendship and give so much of themselves and ask for so little in return. I don't know that thank you will ever be enough for everything you have done for me, out of friendship, and you have asked so very little in return. You even put up with my syllabic consanants even if I don't have a clue as to what those are. You came into my life when I had so very little and was trying to figure out what it meant to be single and taking care of myself all on my own. Thank you for the sacrifices you made to make sure I had the things I needed, and thank you for just being there when I have taken my personal walking tours of hell. I came out on the other side, a better person for having met you.
