What we (the creators of this page) think is happening to Kevin Richardson
Ok, first of all I just want you to know that what I say here is not neccesarily true or proven. It's just what I think. All right. A lot of you probably know that when the video for Quit Playing Games With My Heart was released, Kevin complained to their management. This was because he didn't like the image that them dancing around without their shirts gave off for one of their first music videos. The management ignored his request for a reshoot. Now what I think is that the management held a grudge against him for going up against what they wanted.
Incase you haven't noticed, Kevin never gets to sing! Back on their first albumn he at least had his talking parts, but on Backstreets Back, he doesn't get to do anything at all. In All I Have To Give, every guy gets to do a solo verse, even Howie who doesn't get to sing much either. But Kevin is left with one little line "and I will give it to you" which gets cut out when the song is played on the radio and on TV.
Now for anyone who is lucky enough to have heard Kevvy-Kev sing a solo in concert or something, you know that he has a really awesome voice. I think it's like a cross between AJ, Brian, and maybe a little bit of Nick. So why deprive someone with such a wonderful voice or singing just because he stood up for his opinion, or maybe becasue he's older than the rest of the guys.
Now don't get me wrong, I love all the rest of the guys and their voices very much. I just think that everyone should get a fair chance. And I'm not just saying this cuz Kev is my favorite guy. He's not. But I still think he should get to sing. I mean think of all the verses and solo lines and stuff there are on a whole cd. Would it kill who ever hands out the parts to give Kevvy something to sing once in awhile? I don't think so.
UPDATE
I just wanted to add a bit of stuff in. If you are a huge Nick, Brian, AJ, or Howie fan, please don't be mad that we just have a support page for Kevin. I love the rest of the guys with all my heart. Even Howie (though he isn't my favorite). If anyone out there has someting that they want to be expressed about one of the other guys, then email me and I'll see what I can do about it. I'd be happy to make a page for something that you think is really important.
