Geri Halliwell is set for a sensational reunion with The Spice
Girls as the multi-million selling band celebrate the arrival of the new millennium.
Baby, Sporty, Scary, Posh and Ginger will appear on stage together again as part of a Spice Girl 2000 concert tour.
Top secret plans for the shows will now be worked upon following last night's end of the girl group sensations sell-out Spiceworld Tour.
News of the amazing gig will put an end to speculation that the chart topping band are about to announce a split.
A Spice Girls spokesperson last week hinted at the possibility of the millennium shows when he told The Daily Star "The girls will still be with us into the next century."
But news that Geri Halliwell could also re-join her former band pals for the gigs will stun the pop world.
Geri quit the group earlier this year on the eve of the American leg of their marathon World Tour following rumours of a bust up with Mel G.
She is desperate to break into both television and acting careers.
Despite her decision to quit The Spice Girls though Geri still remains signed to the band's Virgin Records label.
And last night one leading music industry source revealed "Even before the girls sacked their manager Simon Fuller there was this dream of playing concerts in the new millennium.
"Geri is herself well aware of the Spice Girl 2000 plan.
"No matter what other projects she has got on the go by then I don't believe it would be too hard to get her back on stage for these shows."
Despite Geri's absence from Scary Spice's wedding last weekend it has become clear that the two have attempted to heal their rift.
Mel G admitted last week "I spoke to Geri only a few weeks ago and it was fine."
Following last night's final gig of the Spiceworld Tour at London's Wembley Stadium Scary and her fellow band pals will now take well earned breaks from their hetic schedule.
Both Scary and Posh will now visibly slow down the pace of their lifestyles in anticipation of the birth of their babies early next year.
The Spice Girls, who are now estimated to be worth £13 million, can well afford to take a lengthy break from touring.
But plans for a Spice Girl 2000 tour will put the girls in line for another multi-million pound payout come the turn of the next century.
