Geri Halliwell has become an official spokesperson for the Comic Relief charity and is flying to Africa to visit various projects arranged by the organisation.
Film footage from the visit will be broadcast in the run up to Red Nose Day next March. Geri appeared with the The Spice Girls in 1997, on the Red Nose Day TV show, which raised £26 million.
Geri also launched the October Breast Cancer Awareness Month, this week. She said: "At the end of the day, people can perceive me how they want to. I'm just Geri Halliwell, that's who I am. I'm just trying to do my best in life".
