Nashville

so i took this trip and spread it over 4 days...

it was incredible...

we got to nashville saturday and met up with a good friend who showed us
around...we went to this record shop and i found a (i'm serious chris),
a copy of the new DEV cd. its a promo. got it for 2 dollars...

:) it made me happy.

i'll have a report for that later..

so we got to the venue as it rained forever..me and a friend went inside
while our broke friends looked for a free way in, which they did get
eventually.

we sat down and as that dog came on, i saw adam in the sound booth. my
friend sarah really wanted to go talk to him, but i would have felt
dumb...i mean he was rocking out. so we just moved closer but not close
enough to talk.

then out of the blue he looked over and waved at me...i mean i guess we
waved at the same time...but it was really odd. so he left to go backstage
and then joined that dog for their last song which was incredible...i have no
clue what it was..they might have even written it...but it was good..
i later found out its called long island.

then the wallflowers..

not too impressed..i've been a fan for a while...my band covered one
headlight last summer before they were heard of...they were good...but
not as good.

adam and charles came out during 6th aven and sang...it made me smile.

then the crows came out and played a set list "unlike any other". i
guess i got what i asked for..here's the list.

(acoustic with violin from that dog, petra hayden)
rainking
aos
jones
catapult
mercury
omaha
(electric)
rts
aos
monkey
anna
roundhere
notsleeping
daylight fading
murder of one
encore
hysml?
ghost train
a long december

so i was really impressed...the mood during a murder of one was unreal.
adam hopped up and down during the chorus, which was new to me. the
whole crowd was moved...it was great.

so afterwards...i went down and managed to get a set list and a pick.
the thing was that the HYSML? was supposed to be acoustic acc to the set
list...and they were supposed to do raining in baltimore..but i guess it
happens.

so we went around back and waited forever until charles, adam , and
mattie came out...i got the set list signed and chatted with charles and
matt for a while...i dont know why but i just seemed more intrested in
them. crucify me.

:)

but matt and i are going to keep in touch via the email thing...he's a
really nice guy.

so we left....it was great..i dont really know what else to say..i mean
i was completely engrossed by the show...
