Winterland, the company responsible for BSB merchandising served RockStarBabies with a cease and desist order around Feb 10, 1999.. Apparently, they were not licensed to sell BSB beanies. It has been alleged that they didn't even have a product to sell and were ripping off young fans of the Backstreet Boys, Hanson and Spices Girls to name a few.

Their website at http://www.rockstarbabies.com was shut down on Feb 22, '99.

I got this e-mail from the RockStarBabies company at the begining of January 1999 to help promote the Beanies.

If you choose to place our banner on your frontpage please e-mail us back with the address of where you would like the BSB beanie babies sent. The cost is $25 for the whole set and it takes 2 weeks to recieve them, we ship orders to all parts of the world.
