Noels Music Page
If you like listening to music that sucks then fuck off and go listen to some boy bandsBANDS I LIKE AT THE MOMENT
MARILYN MANSON (of course)
NIN (obviously)
DEICIDE (evil and totally heavy)
TOOL (huh huh tool)
CRADLE OF FILTH (dark, fast, gothic, orchestral, weird varying vocals, heavy black metal (or something like that))
FEAR FACTORY (intense)
WHITE ZOMBIE (funny)
W.A.S.P. (new album is angry and sick - cool)
PANTERA (they are not from the PANTs ERA, they kick ass)
KORN (angry)
COAL CHAMBER (angry but funny)
STABBING WESTWARD (excellent tunes, nice 'n' miserable)
NIRVARNA (more miserable music)
MORBID ANGEL (new vocalist had better be as good as David Vincent)
DEATH (apparently reformed - yipee)
CARCASS (they ruled, i wish they would reform, Blackstar are alright but not as good as Carcass)
OBITUARY (cool growly vocals but no lyric sheets with albums)
OFFSPRING (urrm, I like em)
METALLICA (I like the older stuff, last two albums suck, fav album is "And Justice for All...")
ANTHRAX (Last two albums are cool with new vocalist)
DEFTONES (heavy but mellow. Nice sweaty tits on new album cover)
TYPE O NEGATIVE (cool goth band, some of their songs e.g. Black No.1 go on for too long though when dancing to them.)
SISTERS OF MERCY (their songs go on too long too)
PRODIGY (cool, but perhaps too popular to be really cool)
CHEMICAL BROTHERS (good, but i prefer the prodigy)
L7 (I was watching "The Word" on TV live when they stripped off and showed their cunts to the TV cameras - cool)
DRAIN (another all female band but these chicks don't get their kit off but play good music. They are Swedish and I fancy the drummer.)
DIE KRUPPS (german industrial band)
PARADISE LOST (they are often out drinking at Bradford Rio's rock club near my house.)
MY DYING BRIDE (so are these guys)
13 CANDLES (decent vampyric goth band, perhaps a little cheesy)
SUNDOWN (decent goth industrial band)
MINISTRY (repetitively infectious heavy industrial band. Try head-banging through a whole Ministry song.Ouch!)
SHEEP ON DRUGS (first album is excellent)
SAMAEL (Decent black metal band, really popular in Germany apparently)
THERAPY (Troblegum was their best album; an absolute classic)
ALMIGHTY (excellent band, shame they have split up but main man Ricky Warick's new band (SIC)seem good too as I have their first e.p.)
(SIC) (urr,see above)
ENTOMBED (full on pure heavy metal)
GRAVITY KILLS (decent new industrial band, impressive debut album)
There are probably other bands which I like but have forgot about. I will add these to the list when I remember them.
BANDS THAT IRRITATE ME
ALL FUCKIN' SHITTY MANUFACTURED TALENTLESS BOY BANDS SUCH AS TAKE THAT
SPICE GIRLS (female equivalent of the above. I particularly hate Sporty Spice and Ginger Spice. I would shag the others but that is only cos I am desperate.)
MARIAH CAREY (and all other bints who do those wanky harmonious vocals)
GREEN DAY (sorry Green Day fans, but they do irritate me)
PUFF DADDY (Dave Grohl should be ashamed of himself working with such a talentless mumbling git)
OASIS (How do they think that they are the best band in the world when all their songs sound similar.)
BLUR (especially that unbelieveably annoying "Parklife" song)
HANSON (cocky little rich shits)
TERROVISION (far too cheesy and cheerful. The song 'some people say' is alright though)
Don't worry I am sure I will think off many more.

REVIEWS
DEICIDE - SERPENTS OF THE LIGHT
To be fair, this album is not very original and if you don't like any of Deicides earlier stuff then you probably won't like this either. The album sounds like a cross between their last album "Once Upon the Cross", and their self-titled debut. It is the vocals on songs such as "Bastard of Christ" and "Slave to the Cross" which sounds like the vocals from the first album . It is a heavy, brutal album with blasphamous satanic lyrics and song titles such as "Bastard of Christ", and "Blame it on God", however the lyrics aren't quite as satanic as the bands earlier albums but they are just as anti-religious and blasphamous, which is the theme surrounding most of the album.
Even kerrang gave this album "KKKKK" so i'll give it 10/10.
METALLICA - RELOAD
This album was Metallica's chance to prove that they could still rock, they failed. Most people were a bit dissapointed with their last album "Load", I know I was. Not neccessarily because it wasn't as heavy as their previous albums but because the songs were not as good. However, even though i was dissapointed I did like Load. I liked the first single off the album "Until it Sleeps" and i liked "Aint my Bitch", "The House that Jack Built", "King Nothing", "Bleeding Me", and "Wasteing my Hate" which was probably the heaviest song on the album, some of the other songs were alright but others were really weak (infact most of the second half of the album was poor) , and "2by4" was just cheesy and annoying, I bet the Spice Girls could do a cover version of that song and it wouldn't sound unusual.Anyway, Metallica fans all over the world slammed "Load" and Metallica repeatedly told various magazines that they will be going back to their heavier roots with "Reload". Bullshit, "Reload" is no heavier than "Load", there are less slow songs though. The main problem with "Reload" is that nearly all of the album is quite weak. The first song "Fuel" isn't too bad, it starts off quite catchy, the single "The Memory Remains" is alright but certainly isn't anything special. As for the "Unforgiven 2", well you know what they say about sequals. The best parts of this song are the the parts that are similar to "The Unforgiven" and all the song does is make you cringe at the blatently cheesy attempt to relate the two songs in order to reclaim their old audience, and it also makes you want to put on the black album and listen to the original "Unforgiven" which is far better. To be honest I don't really want to go on describing the rest of the album when it can be summed up in one word - dull. Alright for background music if you dont want to get distracted when your doing work but there are far better new albums out at the moment to spend your hard earned cash on. Some die hard Metallica fans will probably defend this album along with James Hetfields mum but apart from that I cant see this album being too popular although it will do well because Metallica are so popular. Metallica have it sussed, they can release any old shite and people will still buy it (sadly this includes me).
A dissapointing 4/10 but Metal Hammer gave it 8/10.
SUNDOWN - DESIGN 19
This new band were formed by an ex-member of Tiamat caled Johnny Hagel and another guy who i've never heard of. They don't look very goth but sound like a cross between the Sisters of Mercy and Nine Inch Nails and they're not bad. They use synths and samples to great effect and the album is consistenly good all the way through. Not much more to be said really.A better than average 7/10.
I am sorry that I have not reviewed any albums for a while. I have bought lots but cannot be bothered reviewing them. I think from now on I will just list the new albums and give them a score out of 10 but not a proper review cos I don't have time. I will do that soon, ok!
