Hello Starling fans....

Ok, well I'm not really posting anything interesting, but heck hardly
anyone's posting anything so I'll give it a try.

That's a cool story about how you came to like Starling, Eric...  Here's
mine:  As a long-time Tom Green Show fan, I went to see the tapings of the
new Comedy Channel episodes, at the Arts Court here in Ottawa. The first
batch of shows was in November '97 and the 2nd was in January '98. I saw every
episode, which meant watching about 20 hours of Tom Green comedy. It was
    great.

I had never liked any of the bands that guest starred on the Tom Green
Show, though. I had always found them too loud or too fake or just not my
style. Because of this, by the time I saw Starling's guest appearance, I
guess my mind was just sort of thinking, "ok, here's the band, let's get
this over with."  And so Starling came and went, I don't remember what I
thought of them at the time, but I think I remember thinking that they
were one of the better guest bands.

So that was that, I didn't think of Starling again until their episode
aired. Lucky for me, I record all the Tom Green Shows, cause when I saw
them for the second time, this time on TV, that was it, I was taken. I
watched their act again and again, and couldn't get the two songs (that I
now know to be Delusional and Don't Deflate) out of my head.  A few days
later I went on the Internet and found ciN and meLLie's site, Eric's site,
and Paul's site, and found out that Starling's CD would be coming out
    soon.

Well, the day of the CD release came and went, and for a week I kept
calling all the music stores to see if their CD was in yet but no luck.
Finally about 2 or 3 weeks later I found it at Record Runner, and I was
    not disappointed.

Since then, I saw Ian and Peter play backup with Lynn Miles, Ian play backup
for... what's-his-name at the Tulip Festival (where I met ciN
and meLLie), and I saw Starling at Lucky Ron's.

Now I can't wait for the 23rd to see the band as a whole again ! :>  And
*hopefully* they will actually play at Babylon on the 31st, as scheduled.

    bye for now...
