the bass guitar is a low end instrument that is often used to add fullness to an ensemble's sound. in addition to its use as a rhythm instrument, we use it in many other capacities, including lead passages. it also has a place, along with the guitar, as a contrapuntal instrument, and when playing chords, can greatly vary the texture of the sound.
since the departure of our last bassist, Paul's brother Roch (pictured) has been filling the bass position in the band. a great player, he has been easily able to fit in with our unique sound.
