Our Lady Peace is one of my favorite bands for one main reason... Raine Maida! His 'whining' as some would call it, is music to my ears and the lyrics that the group come up with fit like a glove. Although I have not had the pleasure of seeing them in concert I hope I will very soon...

I first began listening to Collective Soul back in 1993. Wow! That's a long time!! Anyway, I feel their best work was on the first album which (I hope am right) is this one. Being that I broke up with my long time ex bf for the first time I began listening to this collection of song and it helped me overcome difficult times. I always keep this CD on hand.


Out of all my CD's this is the one which is the most 'worn'. I am not sure if it is the lyrics which gets into my head the most or the music. I can relate to some of his lyrics and I suppose this is what I understand the most about his work. All I can say is that I obsessively play this particular CD of Trent Reznor over and over and over and over... 'nough said.



EASY LISTENING

If you are looking for a relaxing CD for 'mom' this is the one to buy. :) I enjoy listening to this collection of Enya's music because it feels as if she has placed pure emotion into her songs. Please take the time to enjoy her work.


Seal is truly gifted. His voice rings gently in your mind and soul as he displays his passion though his lyrics and melodies. The more I listen, the more I reflect on life itself. His work helps me stay in touch with reality as sometimes we lose that grip as time goes on.



SOUNDTRACKS

Firstly and most important the movie which accompanies this CD is a must see! Touching and brilliant are the words which come to mind. Of course the same is to be said about this soundtrack. Peter Gabriel, Sarah McLachlan and U2 are just a few of the artists on this collection.

Again this movie is one that has to be seen. The soundtrack flows completely from begining to end leaving no room for error. Great artist selection! Nine Inch Nails, Stone Temple Pilots, Violent Femmes, Rage Against the Machine, The Cure and more!

I purchased this CD before viewing the movie. The reason being that some of the songs could be heard through the internet before it's release. Although I enjoyed many of selections on this CD I did not feel that it flowed from one to the other. It felt that as if they were just thrown in, instead of placing them according to the variation of music.
