Make a Rainbow
If your world looks gloomy and your feeling grim and glum...
Make a rainbow for yourself...Dont wait for one to come.
Don't sit watching at the window for the clouds to part...
There'll soon be a rainbow if you start one in your heart.
Take some lovely thought out of a poem or prayer...
Turn it over in your mind and let it linger there...
Keep out every memory that dims the light within...
And hold onto the magic word that lets the brightness in.
Work your own small miracle and make the dull days glow...
Put some sunshine into life and let the glory show...
Make a rainbow for yourself with colors brave and gay...
And underneath its golden arch your cares will fade away.

Love
A merging of butterfly
heartbeats
in rhythm with one another
The heat of your love rises off
your body
as
your brow
furrows
in mock concentration
The moment
The passion
revealed in your face
as your hair
cascades

creating a private
face to face
tunnel
where the light at the ends
is the glow of our faces
anticipation
builds
and the silky pleasure arches us
as the tides
crash
against us
and sweep
us away

Soul
Lost count of the moons since I took one last dive
into your deep ocean...
Desolate Paradise.
Every journey leads me to take another dive, always finding something new, treasures yet discovered.
If the oceans should part and the water should dry,
I would take one last dive and cling to a rock, your heart, till I would shrivel up, dry up, like your ocean.

-Dark Rider-
The sorrows of the winter's nights,
The hardships of the summer's days.
Birds cry out around me,
Only to fall
silent
again.
The stillness of death,
moves swiftly through the land.
Heightened by the shadows
and deeds by my own hand.
The poison S p r e a d s throughout,
unable to contain.
The future that it holds,
unless it is detained.
The faces of the wise,
float by and look away.
The enmity of old is
forever here to stay.
On a pale horse He rides,
collecting up His dues.
Sweeping 'bout the country,
without an ounce of rue.
The feelings of his enemies,
alive and with despise.
Look on in utter disgust,
at this word, this "compromise".
For you cannot strike a deal,
with He who rides the night.
And no way to avoid,
the effects of this blight.
Silently He watches,
as the world takes it's toll.
He'll be there in the end,
to come collect your soul.

I Need Just One Chance
When there are clouds in your life, let me be your sun
When people make you feel second best, to me, you're #1.
If your days seem like nights, let me be your moon,
If dreams seem far away, let's make them happen soon.
If you've lost your way in life, I''ll be your north star,
If you ever need a friend my dear, I won't be very far.
Let me prove my love to you, I'll be there in your strife,
Let me prove my love, I'll support you through my life.
If you're reaching for the sky, let me be your mountain climb,
But if you cant seem to move, let me be your wind,
We'll get you to life's peaks where you'll feel so sublime
And brim with simple things;
If there's no where to step, I'll be your fertile land,
Let me reach unto you, let me be your helping hand.
When life leaves you cold, let me be your fire,
When you lose faith in yourself, let me be your soul's desire.
When life's sarcasm leaves you dry, let me be your rain,
When your age makes you cry, lets stroll down memory lane.
And so that you can grow, I'll be your fertile earth,
Give me just one chance, let me prove my worth.

Driven
Are we the ones to blame? Do we not see?
Children being driven by our lack of responsibilty.
And what has become of us? Do we have no control?
We can not cage the ones we love, so do we let them go?
Is there hope inside of us? Can we turn our lives around?
We know if change is needed, we must stop everything to do it now.
And is there any time left? Are we doomed to repeat the past?
Are we driven to teach others, that life is not precious enough to last??

treasured gem
she
discovered and uncovered a passion within me for my body
i am now self-respecting and open to judgement...
a priceless stone found by fate and nourished by assurance
she
exposed the scars and anger, the fear left engraved in my soul
i am now worth more than nothing...
a gem removed from the earth by hands of delicate grace
she
compelled me to express my desires and everything that i will be
i am now opening my heart to others....
a diamond in the rough shaped and refined with care
she
once was a stone as i, carved and touched in ways that words do not suffice
..t h e s i n c e r i t y..
...she became, she helped
she is...
...the treasured gem i desire to become...
