Falling Sickness Because The World Has Failed Us Both
Hopeless Records
PO Box 7495
Van Nuys, Ca 91409-7495
On many compilations these guys were quick ska/punk, on this album they play quick, serious political punk, with occaisional ska riffs. The instrumental on this album is quick, with some cool bass lines, and ska guitar riffs, but nothing relly special. Also to many parts of this album are too heavy for this style of punk. I guess I just hate the fact that one minute it can have a cool ska guitar riff, then turn it around with something the very oppisite. The vocals are very snotty and slurred, which can get pretty annoying. Favorite songs include "What Scene?", "Still Thirsty", and "Gonna Try". I recommend this album to fans of Anti-Flag and quick political punk. I give it a 6.
Frenzal Rhomb Not So Tough Now
Rubber Records
633 Ocean Ave, Studio #21
Santa Monica, Ca 90402
Frenzal Rhomb is knd of a hopped up Nofx blended with the Offspring, with Austrailian vocals. They have really melodic vocals with quick paced semi heavy (Offspring) instrumentals. The heavy pop aspect of this album is cool, but after a while it gets old and tiring. The vocals are pop punkish with a Billy Joe Armstrong Austrailian accent. These guys have signs of being very good, but after the first 8 or so songs this album peters out. Favorite songs include " Punch in The Face", "Disapointment", and "Wasted". Buy this album if you want to see Nofx blended with Offspring, or just wanna hear Austrailian punk. I give it a 6.5.
Funsize Pop Secret

Funsize is a quick paced punk band, with a few ewws and ahhhs. The instrumental is quick, and sounds like any other quick pop punk band. The vocals are very melodic and usually sung earnestly. I guess the problem I have with these guys is that they have two types of songs: 1. Very quick and melodic, and sounds like they're hopped on coffee. 2. Slow and melodic. I like the fast songs a lot, but the slow ones are boring and unoriginal sounding. I guess i have to mention that on a few of the fast songs that they have some cool and original guitar riffs. Favorite Songs include "Cool", "Pickle", and "Scene". I recommend this to fans of Pinhead Circus, and fans that want to see the early Queers albums on coffee. I give them a 7.
