Nobodys Short Songs For Short Attention Spans
Hopeless Records
PO Box 7495
Van Nuys, Ca 91409-7495

If you haven't heard about the Nobodys, I would have to describe them as politically incorrect porno punk. They play play fast, heavy pop punk songs that are short and to the point. Their instrumental is fast, semi-heavy pop punk, with a lot of bass. The vocals are rude and snotty with two singers. Their main singer has a snotty voice that goes along great with their lyric and style, the other singer, who is only in a few songs is totally annoying and should be stopped from being in any further albums. Their songs are straight foward, honest, and totally politically incorrect. Their songs cover everything from porno to killing those bastards who spend to much time in Starbucks. Favorite songs include "Perfect", "Scarred By Love", and "Nobodys". Buy this album if you like quick, snotty, and above all politically incorrect punk rock. I give it a 9.

Nobodys Greatasstits
Hopeless Records
PO Box 7495
Van Nuys, Ca 91409-7495

This is a collection of songs from 7 or so 7 inches, a demo tape, and a couple of complations, it also includes outtakes from their two cds.( By the way this album has 52 songs on it) The instrumental is quick, semi heavy pop punkish (on most songs), with the majority of the songs being short. The vocals are great snotty punk style on almost all of their songs, except for the 3 or 4 with a female lead singer that suck. All in all this album is hard to judge because of the massive amout of songs and years involved, and the numerous band member changes. Buy this album if you're already a Nobodys fan, if not buy one of their other two cds first. I give it an 8

NOFX White Trash, Two Heebs, and a Bean
Epitaph Records
6201 Sunset, Blvd Suite 111
Hollywood, Ca 90028

Ok, first of all if you haven't heard of Nofx (and like punk), they're probably the most popular punk band around, that hasn't sold out. Another thing you need to know about Nofx is that they're very original and I can compare a bunch of bands to them, but I can't really compare Nofx to anyone. The instrumental on this album is original, but can be generally classifed as skate punk. The vocals are snotty and feature Fat Mikes famous voice at the helm. All of this combines to be one of Nofx's best and most original albums, this is a great pop punk album that shows exactly why they are so damn popular. Favorite songs include "Bob", "Stickin In My Eye", and "Please Play This Song On The Radio", plus all the other songs are great too. I give them a 9.8.

NOFX Punk In Drublic
Epitaph Records
6201 Sunset, Blvd Suite 111
Hollywood, Ca 90028

This is another great Nofx album which sunds similar to White Trash, Two Heebs, and a Bean with a little more originality.( I think thats why this is my favorite Nofx album) Their instrumental is easily classified as skaye punk, but it features their own original twists. The vocals are as always Fat Mikes semi-snotty punk voice. In the end these elements combine for a great original pop punk album, thats great from beggining to end. Favorite Songs: All except one. I give it a 10+.

No Use For A Name

No Use For A Name Don't Miss The Train
New Red Archives
PO Box 210501
San Francisco, Ca 94121

This is an early Nufan (No Use For A Name) cd, this version of Nufan is a little heavier than their newest stuff. Their instrumental on this album starts off with a long heavy intro, which quickly changes into heavy and repetitive pop punk. The vocals on this album sound similar to the lead singer of the Offspring, which is fast with a little anger, but its just not as sincere as their new stuff. Together these elements combine to create a style of boring and repetitive heavy pop punk. I give it a 4.5.

No Use For A Name

No Use For A Name The Daily Grind
Fat Wreck Chords
PO Box 460144
San Francisco, Ca 94146

This is Nufan's first release on Fat, which I see as a bridge between their older stuff and the way they sound now. The instrumental is a little less heavy on this release than on Don't Miss The Train, but its still a little heavier than what they sound like now. The vocals on this cd sound almost exactly the same as they do now, with just a little difference in the tone of voice. This album sounds much more like the Nufan of today, but for some reason they just don't click on this album enough for it to be that good at all. Buy this album if you're a big fan of their new or old stuff. I give it a 5.5.

No Use For A Name

No Use For A Name Leche Con Carne
Fat Wreck Chords
Po Box 460144
San Francisco, Ca 94146

This album is No Use For A Name's second release on Fat, which I also think is their very best. After listening to music from all periods of the history of Nufan, I think this is their most creative and original too. On this album their instrumental sounds like a heavy version of typical Fat Wreck Chords style punk, which really isn't that heavy, but in comparsion to the rest of Fat Wreck Chord's bands is. The vocals on this album have a sound of their own too, they aren't punk, but I guess could be described as similar to Bad Religion's vocals. All in all I guess they can be described as heavy pop punk, with personal and social lyrics. Favorite songs include "Justified Black Eye", "Redemption Song", and "Fatal Flu". I give them a 9.5.

No Use For A Name

No Use For A Name Making Friends
Fat Wreck Chords
Po Box 193690
San Francisco, Ca 94119-3690

This is No Use For A Name's latest release, which sounds pretty much the same as their last one: Leche Conn Carne. The instrumental still sounds like a heavier version of typical Fat Wreck Chords style punk. The vocals still have an original sound thats hard to describe, but can be compared to Brett Gurewitz from Bad Religion. And of course, this album has an original sound that makes Nufan great. I will admit that this is a great album, but it does fall a little flat compared to Leche Con Carne. Favorite songs include "Invincible", " On The Outside", and "A Postcard Would Be Nice". Buy this album if you liked Leche Con Carne. I give it an 8.5.
