Review and info:

This is probably Skin Yard's gloomiest album. the band almost broke up before recording this, after their third tour. The band managed to pull it through in studio, making all people who care about the band a little bit calmer. Still, after they recorded it the band fell apart for a year, but with "Start at the Top/Watch" single and the record out nobody actually noticed. The album was recorded in Spring-Summer '89 by Jack Endino on an 30 ips on a 1-inch 16-track Tascam ATR 60-16 (Ser #10001) but something was wrong with the sounds under 100Hz so they re-recorded it at 15 ips. It was released on Cruz Records CR-009 in spring '90 on vinyl and CD(has one extra song). At the time Jack was recording Helios Creed's "The Last Laugh", so one day he asked him if he would play extra guitar on "Gentle Collapse", to what he answered that he would and he did. Also, Ben and Scott were jamming with Tom from the Accused, so they got him to play extra big chub-chub guitar on "Slow Runner"...The summer after recording this, Ben and Scott started Gruntruck with Tom. So, the band split up for a year, coming back later with a new drummer Barrett Martin.
