If you are an *NSYNC fan, I'm sorry but they make me want to vomit. They seem to be stuck in the immature-only-two-guys-sing-lead stage. Their second album is a lot like the first one. BSB had a major transition between the "Album from the Devil" and Backstreet's Back. Total transition, totally for the better.

Then there is the "Rivalry". I have a feeling that it is mostly in the media. I mean, there is rivalry in every field of music. There's probably rivalry between people like Deborah Cox and Lauryn Hill. It exists, it happens. And it's probably not a bad as the media makes it out to be….Even radio stations and my beloved Much Music are using the rivalry against them. One day, I was watching MuchMegaHits and the One came on, so I watched it. Then right after, It's Gonna Be Me came on. In a fit of disgust, I turned off the TV and turned on the radio, and that song was on. I grinned and bared it, but as soon as that song was over, guess what was on? If you guessed the One, you are absolutely right. The rivalry is so a working of the media…

Unless you're a fan of one and not the other. Then it's all out war. I know from experience. My boyfriend is an *NSYNC fan (but I love him anyway despite his appalling ignorance), and we have three hour long arguments about which one is better. For Christmas he bought me the first *NSYNC album, trying to convert me. I, in return, made him sit through three hours of BSB concert specials, and then every single live appearance that I have taped. It's a bitter feud that will never die between us (he seems to think that Nick, Brian, AJ and Howie can't sing. That Kevin is the only one that can. He nearly died when he said that (meaning I almost killed him)…but again, I forgive his ignorance. I mean, he thinks that Justin can sing, after all, the poor misguided fool). But I have the best defence…BSB have a total of 6 Grammy nominations. How many does *NSYNC have? Also, BSB came first, that other group was just an attempt to make money of their success, by cloning them, a fact that I feel sorry for them because...

But we all know how much better BSB is than *NSYNC. And if you don't, then leave my page! Just kidding, but don't you dare send any email stating their qualities (have you seen the "God must have Spent a Little More time on You" video? Incest is not a good thing, and there are some definite underlying messages there).

Then there's the fact that by a foolish blunder, BSB launched *NSYNC's career. They were supposed to do a spot on this Disney special-concert thing, but they had to cancel, so *NSYNC filled in for them, and after that concert, their sales skyrocketed. And how do I feel about *NSYNC shattering the BSB's record? At least it wasn't Britney Spears. Seriously, records are made to be broken, and I could honestly care less about how many records the Boys sell. Just as long as there are records for me to buy. I don't need numbers to tell me that they have fans. I know this already. I am one of them. So get over it already.
