Chapter 1: Celebration
"Baby? Where are you?" a voice called. Shocked, Lilia pushed back from AJ, jumping back as if she'd been burned.
"Paul?" she called shakily, turning around to search for the source of the voice.
"Baby!" he cried back, running in. He ran to her and hugged her fiercely.
"You heard me," she stated simply. He was beaming, and he hugged her again. She jumped up and down, unable to contain her joy.
"I did it Paul. I just did it. I haven't for over a year, and I did it. And it was…" she breathed, trailing off, unable to describe what she was feeling.
"I heard you. Baby, I can't tell you how much I've missed that sound…But what happens now?" he asked her seriously. She cried out, threw her hands in the air and twirled around.
"I don't care, but I can sing, Paul! I can sing!" she cried out.
"Definite improvement from the non-singing Lilia," he commented to no one in particular.
"Wait! You bastard! You knew what that song would do…You knew what would happen, and after all the bloody times I told you that I didn't want to sing again, it was just too…you bastard, you knew and you still did it!" she cried out, a momentary downfall in her excitement.
"It wasn't me. Honestly! It was someone else, I just wrote the note, not knowing what it was for, I swear!" he cried, throwing out his hands, gesturing, attempting to make her understand.
"Who? Who did you write it for?" she demanded.
"I can't tell you. That was part of the arrangement, because the poor guy thinks you're out for his blood right now," he said. Lilia suddenly remembered that AJ was still in the room and recalled her actions a few minutes prior. She also put two and two together, and realised that if he was there, then it must have been him. She wasn't sure how she felt about that, she'd leave thinking for later in the day, when she wasn't shaking from pure adrenaline.
"Poor guy? I think I understand Paul. It doesn't matter right now, I'll catch the villain at a later date, but right now, all I want to do is…scream!" she squealed, her excitement taking over again.
"Leave that to our fans," Paul said, grabbing her hand and pulling her off as he ran.
"Where are we going?" she asked.
"Does it matter? Let's do something crazy!" he called over his shoulder. AJ chuckled as he watched the two run off, Paul tugging Lilia along. They reminded him of little children in search of trouble. After they left, he sat down and sighed. He needed time to think about what had just happened with Lilia.

"You are the funniest guy in the world!" Lilia laughed, as she and Paul entered the arena. They had been gone for two hours, and Premiere was beginning to wonder what had happened to the two of them. They were baffled when they saw the two of them walking down the hall, floating balloons attached to their arms, decorated in stickers, candy jewellery, and sporting lime green hair.
"Before any of you say anything, no we are not drunk and no, it's not permanent," Lilia said, noticing the dropped jaws. She and Paul giggled again.
"So…what have you been up to today?" Sandy asked, figuring that it was the safest question.
"We were attacked by a carnival, it seemed to just grow around us, so we had no choice but to join it. Look at our prizes," Lilia indicated proudly, pointing out the candy and the stickers.
"And then the hair….well…" Paul was saying, when he looked at Lilia.
"The one armed man did it, I swear," they both cried out at the same time. Sandy sighed, remembering the excuse that the two of them had used always, whenever the two of them had done something weird or stupid or that could get them into trouble.
"Okay…well, Paul, considering that we have an interview in forty five minutes, I suggest that you change or something, otherwise Jordan would have a fit. And Lilia…why don't you go to the hotel and hang out until the concert? I think it's best if we separate the two of you so you can't get into any trouble," Sandy said, smiling a little to show her amusement.
"Trouble? What makes you think that I could get into trouble?" Lilia asked, mocking offence.
"Lilia. Mirror. Look in it," Damon said simply. She rolled her eyes, and smacked him playfully.

"Hi."
"Hi."
"Wow. Awkward moment?"
"Just a little. What's up, Lilia?"
"Not much AJ. I just think that we really need to talk."
"I know. I have to admit…hell, I don't even know what I got to admit. I just need…"
"Time to think. Same wavelength. So…what do you have in mind?"
"Well, we have a two day stretch that we have off, and I'm planning on heading to home because there are some things that I have to take care of there. How about in two days time?"
"Perfect. Because I don't know what to say, either. I just know that we have to talk…about what happened…"
"…And what it means, I catch your drift. So, I'll see you when I get back."
"Yeah. I'll see you then. AJ?"
"Yeah, Lilia?"
"Thanks."
"For what?"
"Don't even try. Paul told me."
"Told you what?"
"Don't try that with me. Live in denial if you want, but be safe in the knowledge that I do know what you did. And I appreciate it."
"Okaaay…whatever, Lilia. I'll see you around."
"Yeah."
