NICK: "The worst date I ever went on was when I was sitting with this girl and a boy wanted to fight me. I didn't want to fight."

BRIAN: "The worst date I went on was when I was about to kiss her, I leaned over and fell right out of the chair I was sitting in!"

NICK: "You would never believe me if you saw me decked in my scuba gear and diving!"

NICK: "If I was on a desert Island I'd want these three things: my regulator, scuba tank, food"

BRIAN: "If I were on a desert island, I'd want these three things: food, music and a special girl"

BRIAN: The dumbest thing I ever did was let a spider bite get infected. I had to get stitches and use crutches!"

NICK (on his ideal girl): "It doesn't really matter to me what she looks like as long as she has a good personality and she's really nice. I don't care if she's blond, dark or even has green hair. But she's gotta be independent, and like herself, not care about what other people think. To me, that's attractive!"

NICK: "If I was going to treat a girl right, I would take her out to the beach at night time. There would be a full moon with a bunch of stars out. The sand would be pure white, beautiful and soft and the ocean would be very calm with the moonlight shining off the water."

NICK (on screaming girls): "I don't understand why they do that. It's mind-blowing, basically."

BRIAN (on not having a serious girlfriend): "People say, 'who cares? You're loved by thousands of screaming girls'. But it's not like there's somebody I can call anytime and say 'This is how I feel'. There isn't someone who knows me inside and out."

NICK (on fans): "It's really weird. They think they know who we are, but they don't."

BRIAN: "We're not just a teen group. We're gonna be around for a long time."

BRIAN: "We'll try to rent out a basketball court somewhere, to go play, so you can just kind of get your frustrations out. It's something active besides singing and dancing."

NICK: "Sometimes you don't feel like performing, especially after you go on 50 shows. You're like 'I have to get through this. How am I gonna do it?' You just have to get up there and do it."

BRIAN: "It's very rewarding to think you're actually affecting lives, I mean people who can't even speak English, are singing our songs and even the American audiences. We've had a lot of loyal fans who have stuck with us a long long time."

NICK: "Sometimes you're not going to have a good night, and that is another thing people don't realize. It's hard to be what everybody expects of you. Everybody expects you to walk around and smile all the time, but it's hard."

BRIAN: "We're all very talented."

NICK: "People think that I'm like 'famous'. People don't treat me like a normal person, like, when I go home and I'm basically stuck in his normal life. People think that I'm perfect...I'm a normal human being, and so are the other guys, and I make mistakes, and they make mistakes and I just try to live my life to the fullest. I try to have fun, and that is all I'm doing right now."

BRIAN: "There will never be an end to, you know, what we are as five."

NICK: "My family comes first before anything. They are everything to me. The problem that I have is that I don't call home as much as I should, and it's kind of like, it's my excuse, because it makes time go by when I don't talk to them."

BRIAN (before surgery): "I told my mom a lot of things that I never had the courage to say. I was telling her to take care of my dad."

NICK (after Brian's surgery): "I couldn't picture life without him. Thank God everything turned out the way it did."

BRIAN: "I wasn't supposed to live long, and I did. I look at that as a miracle. I've been singing ever since."

NICK: "The biggest surprise for me is to actually walk into a store and see your single sitting on a shelf. You can't believe it's you sitting next to all these famous artists."

BRIAN (his first impression of Nick): "The main thing I remember about Nick when I very first met him is how small he was. He was so energetic and full of life. I was like 'Wow'. I was totally bowled over, and then I heard his voice. Man, it was just so big for this little guy."

NICK: "To be honest, I've never really fallen in love. I've never felt this strong sensation."

BRIAN: "I mean, I'm no different than anyone else. My logic is that my life is no different from anybody else's except for four or five feet, and that four or five feet is how tall the stage is. Because if you put anyone else on the stage, the girls will scream. I'm just the lucky one who's having an opportunity like this. When I step off the stage I'm like anyone else."

BRIAN: "I think everyone's here for a reason. To do something natural, which for me is singing and being a ham onstage. But to be a singer- to do something I love, to go to work everyday and do something I enjoy- that's what I was looking for."
