After years of hearing about S.
Bach's mouth, stage antics and the like,
I finally went to see him perform
last june in Danbury Ct. Tuxedo
Junction is a popular rock venue
in northern fairfied county, close to
Western Ct State College and rite
in the middle of downtown. Groups like
Cheap Trick, Ace Fredley, and Oasis
have all played there. But tonite
was the X-Skid's night. With Danbury's
very own Richie Scarlet playing
lead( Richie being a infamous freind
of Ace Fredley's and a veteran of
the New York City Glam Days) the
band tore into "Riot Squad" from the
Skid's second album- a record which
has just recently gone past the two
million mark in sales. The band
was super tight, loud, and very
entertaining to watch. Sebastion
having a silver sparkle jacket with
those beautiful blonde locks made
it seem like it really was l990 all
over again. His rap with the crowd
was great joking about his former
record company, radio jocks, etc.
At this point in the tour he was on
the road for almost 9 months but
you would never know it. This guy has
the best scream I have ever heard
in rock. He sang "18 and Life"just
like the record holding nothing
back. Another highlight was the first
encore "I Remember You" starting
off with the acoustic guitar and
building to a tremendous ending.
He also did a Kiss cover, no surprise
as he is a huge KISS fan himself.
The closing tune was "Youth Gone Wild"
and yes I moved up to the front
and bounced with the rest of the crowd
screamin the tune and loving ever
minute of it. I have seen hundreds and
hundreds of concerts, this guy
puts it all on the line a total showman,
he'll leave you screamin for more.
S.Bach's is easily in my top 3 shows
of all time. Just a great performance.
