You will more than likely need a graphics program to use these, save them as Windows Bitmap (.bmp) images in your C:\WINDOWS\ folder and then click on START\SETTINGS\CONTROL PANEL\DISPLAY and on the background tab select the image you want. If you have a 640x480 or 1024x768 display, resize the image in your graphics program before saving it in the C:\WINDOWS folder. Many people now have a function whereby if you select the image to be "centered" in display settings then Windows will stretch or shrink the image to fit the screen.
A handy tip to save some space and make working with your desktop quicker is to shrink the wallpaper image to a suitable size (e.g. 600x451) and then let Windows stretch it to your screen. You'll hardly notice any difference in quality but the file will be half the size and make working on your desktop quicker.
